ACT Up!

according to the latest Roy Morgan poll

ACT is up from 1% to 2.5%.

Maori Party is up by 0.5% to 2%

NZ First is down 1% to 3.5%

National are down by 3% to 40%

Labour are up 1.5% to 41.5%

Greens are up 0.5% to 7%.

According to Andrew Falloon

Strangely enough though, it shows that the Government in its present form does not enjoy 50% support, and would need the Greens or the Maori Party to govern. But then, if the Nats were to govern they would need the support of the Maori Party, NZ First, United Future and those troublesome ACT chaps. It seems the Greens hold a significant amount of power, but will their support hold until the election? They will surely suffer if they are hovering around the 5-6% mark with the absence of an electorate.

I've said similar to Andrew on his blog, but you'll need more than one pollster to claim that ACT's polling is up. I would note that this poll was taken during the same time that the Herald poll put ACT on 1.1%, and not long after ACT failed to score in a TV1 or TV3 poll.

Nevertheless, I can't fault you for trying to spin this as hard as you can!

I had a wee bet with myself that you'd be the first on this thread Aaron. Do i detect some almost positive feelings towards ACT here Aaron? I'll also bet the higher ACT polls, the more positive you;ll get. I think deep down, you've still got a wee soft spot for ACT.

I see Keith Locke probably isn't standing for Greens co-leader. Too bad, him winning would put their support down a lot.

Way to go ACT. Although there is a lot more work to be done, this is good news. How is everyting going internally, have you got some positive changes for ACT on the horizon. I'd like to see ACT target 15%, get rid of the horrible Liberal Party logo and at least change the web sites of both ACT and Rodney around. Everything needs freshening up. Keep up the good work.
