Tanczos Denies Knowing "Urewera 17" Anarchists
Green Party MP Nandor Tanczos has been a leading campaigner against the recent police raids on the so called "Urewera 17".

A while ago I called on Mr Tanczos to talk to the police about his possible knowledge of terrorist activities in New Zealand.
On a Green Party internet forum of 26th January 2006 Mr Tanczos had stated;
If we say 'well Pakeha have the power now, so tough' and base our occupation on simple domination, then we have to prepare ourselves for permanent civil unrest and eventually when the demographics change enough, for outright war. I have spoken to people who see this as the future, and it frightens the hell out of me.
Emphasis added.
I made the point that given Mr Tanczos' anarchist background he probably knew some of those involved in the October 15th anti-terror raids and should give the police any knowledge he might have of those involved.
I also pointed out that the Green Party works closely with eco-activist group Save Happy Valley Coalition and that several SHVC activists, all anarchists, were arrested in the October 15th police raids.
NZ Truth picked up the story and put several questions directly to Mr Tanczos.
In an article published in Truth 10 days ago, Mr Tanczos replied that talking to the police would be a "waste of time".
He also claimed that of those arrested, he only knew Tame Iti.
I found this hard to believe as the Green Party has worked closely with Wellington's anarchist community over several years, not only through SHVC, but through the anti Bypass Campaign and the anti GE campaign.
Several Green candidates in 2005 had anarchist connections and many anarchists are also Green Party members.
Green Party MPs have employed anarchists as personal assistants.
Metiria Turei (herself a former anarchist)employed well known anarchist, the late Gaye Dyson as an exutive assistant a few years ago.
In 2003 Mr Tanczos, employed Rayna Fahey as his executive assistant.
Like Mr Tanczos himself, Rayna Fahey was a Waikato University anarchist active in a wide variety of causes;
Rayna Fahey is the founder of Radical Cross Stitch, has a passion for arts, crafts and all things subversive and has a background in feminist, environmental, anarchist and indigenous politics.
Fahey now lives in Melbourne where she works closely with another NZ born anarchist and "Urewera 17" supporter Sina Ana Brown Davis.
On October 27th, Fahey and Brown Davis helped organise an "Urewera 17" solidarity rally in Federation Square, Melbourne.
In October 2003 Fahey left Mr Tanczos' office to take part in a nude ant GE protest in the grounds of Parliament.
The protestors were mainly (if not all) Wellington anarchists and an article describing the event was posted on Indymedia by leading anarchist Sam Buchanan.
This incident provoked a minor stir at the time, with even ACT MP Rodney Hide getting involved. Rodney was upset because no charges were laid against the protestors, while National MP Shane Adern had been prosecuted shortly before for driving a tractor up the steps of Parliament buildings.

The photo above shows the event. I cannot legally show you here, but other photos clearly show a starkers Val Morse directing proceedings. Morse was of course arrested in the October 15th anti terror raids and is a well known anarchist associated with Sam Buchanan and the infamous 128 Abel Smith Street.
Val Morse is world famous in the Wellington activist scene and if Nandor Tanczos doesn't know her, I'll bet he is the only senior Green who doesn't. Mr Tanczos' assistant, Rayna Fahey seemed to know Morse enough to get naked with her in public.
On Valentine's Day 2006, the Save Happy Valley Coalition proested at Parliament, with several Green Party MPs coming out to support the cause.

Again, I can't legally show you, but other photos of the event clearly show Val Morse holding up one end of the banner-a mere two metres or so from Nandor Tanczos.
As I have stated several times, no fewer than five Save Happy Valley Coalition supporters were arrested on October 15th for alleged illegal activities in the Ureweras.
They were Tim/Ira Bailey, Emily Bailey, an as yet unnamed Swiss national, Omar Hamed and Val Morse.
Mr Tanczos has been a long time supporter of the Save Happy Valley campaign, but he claims to know none of those arrested on October 15, except Tame iti.
Coincidentally, two of Mr Tanczos' former youth MPs-Kate Shuttleworth (2000) and John Darroch (2004) have ties to the "Urewera 17".
Kate Shuttleworth, worked on the environmental film Kotahi Ao, with three Urewera 17 arrestees-Simon/Rongomai Bailey, Emily Bailey and Marama Mayrick. Val Morse and Sam Buchanan helped finance the film, while production was organised from anarchist HQ, 128 Abel Smith Street.
Kate Shuttleworth (who I know very well-sorry Kate) was a prominent Young Green and was tipped for a high list place in the 2002 election.
She now works for Campbell Live where she "sorts out what is newsworthy".
John Darroch is an Auckland anarchist, Green Party Party member and in 2006 was Auckland spokesman for the Save Happy Valley Coalition.
John Darroch has also been a leading member of Auckland Radical Youth and a close associate of radical Youth founder and "Urewera 17" arrestee, Omar Hamed.
Further John Darroch was also in 2006, one of four members of the Kotare School's Youth Advisory Group.
Kotare, situated at Wellsford is run by Green MP Sue Bradford and several other Green Party/anarchist types. Its purpose is to train activists (some as young as 13 or 14) and to indoctrinate them with the ideas of Brazilian Marxist "educationalist" Paolo Freire.
Another member of Kotare's Youth Advisory Group is Christchurch based, national Save Happy Valley Coalition spokesman, Frances Mountier.
Mountier's Addington home was targeted on October 15th, but police were denied entry through lack of a warrant.
New Zealand's activist community is very small. Most of the anarchists arrested on October 15th came from Wellington and all were heavily involved with Green Party supported campaigns.
Yet Nandor Tanczos claims to know none of them.
Surely we must take him at his word.

It's actually not a small world.
You mean take him at the Truth's word, surely? Curious what you are prepared to accept as an authoritative source. I guess it indicates the reliability of your other information sources.
Come off the grass Nancoz!
There's a perception that Nancoz linked with the Greens because of it's position on marijuana, which varies from tolerance to promotion.
Smoking it is part of Nancoz's Rastfarian religion, of course.

Hahahahah... Rayna Fahey was no Rayna anarchist in the Waikato... in fact she ran for a political position for the HCC. In fact, how can she be an anarchist now, she is running for the Greens in the 2008 election. And don't tell me that I am wrong, I knew her back then. She went out with a good mate of mine and she was a bit of a joke.
yo
If you want a scoop, ask Rayna Fahey how she is funding her campaign? Is it like like last time when she stole Over $2000 of her flatmate's. If you want to know more, just reply to this.
Because I (Kate) was helping with an environmental documentary that these people were involved with and knew these people doesn't mean that I am implicated in such events. It's a careless and loose connection to make.
