Obama’s Communist Mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, Under FBI Investigation for 19 Years!

Check this out. New Zeal first broke the news of Barack Obama's association with long time Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis in March 2007.

US journalist Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy In Media seized on the story in February this year, researched it and has publicised it nationwide.

The story has gone viral and has been picked up by thousands of blogs and websites and several major news outlets including the UK Telegraph.

Now Cliff and the US's leading authoriy on communist history, Herb Romerstein, have obtained Davis's 600 page FBI file and have written a report based on its contents.

Cliff has been appearing on leading talk shows all over the US publicising this new material on Obama's boyhood mentor

Here's a press release from Cliff's publicist.

Special Report from Investigative Journalist Cliff Kincaid

In his 1995 book, Dreams From My Father, Barack Obama describes a relationship he had with “Frank,” when Obama lived in Hawaii, and how he went to “Frank” for advice about college, racial matters, and other lessons of life. So, just who is this mysterious Frank, who so deeply influenced the life of Barack Obama?

America’s Survival, Inc., headed by veteran journalist Cliff Kincaid, has obtained the 600-page FBI file on “Frank,” who was none other than the infamous pro-Soviet Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis! The complete file and an analysis of the shocking information are now being featured on the web site of investigative journalist and columnist Cliff Kincaid at: www.usasurvival.org

Available for media interviews on this topic, Cliff Kincaid is able to give details of how Davis was a mentor to Obama in Hawaii for eight or nine years before he turned 18 and went off to college. Kincaid also cites evidence that Davis was a sex pervert and pornographer.

Kincaid reveals, for the first time, that the FBI file on Frank Marshall Davis covers the years 1944-1963, meaning that he was under investigation or surveillance for at least 19 years. One document refers to Frank Marshall Davis having CPUSA affiliations dating back to 1931. Kincaid also has evidence showing that Davis was involved in communist activities in the 1970s, during the time he mentored Obama. Davis was included in the FBI’s security index, Kincaid notes, meaning that Davis could be arrested or detained in the event of a national emergency. The FBI material documents Davis’s anti-white and pro-Soviet views, infiltration of the Hawaii Democratic Party, and other activities.

Former FBI agent and popular talk show host G. Gordon Liddy said about Frank Marshall Davis, “Only very dangerous people were on the FBI security index, people who were on the side of an enemy and not on the side of the United States.”

Ironically, the young person Davis sent off to college, who would admittedly attend socialist conferences and pick Marxist professors as his friends, never had to undergo an FBI background check and, should he become President, will be in charge of overseeing the FBI!

During your interview, Cliff can explain why the communists targeted Hawaii – because of its strategic location and importance to the U.S. defense effort – and why one of the most disturbing FBI documents refers to information that Davis “was observed photographing large sections of the [Hawaii] coastline with a camera containing a telescopic lens.” The FBI information states:

“Informant stated that DAVIS spent much of his time in this activity. He said this was the third different occasion DAVIS had been observed photographing shorelines and beachfronts. Informant advised that it did not appear he was photographing any particular objects.”

Kincaid says this information strongly suggests the possibility of espionage or some other form of illegal activity on the part of Davis.

There are two stories here:
(1) Barack Obama is a Marxist - no surprise there.
(2) the second one is often forgotten: the danger from a State that is willing and able to monitor someone for 19 years.

Traditional Marxism conquers by force. Modern Marxism, usually called Socialism, conquers by stealth; it's the difference between dropping a frog into boiling water and putting a frog into cold water before turning on the heat. Either way, the frog winds up on the plate.

Cane toads have the right idea: they're poisonous and no one wants to touch them. Those who like liberty would do well to emulate them.

Hopefully this Kincaid report is more accurate than his previous efforts, which contain so many misrepresentations that they have questionable journalistic credibility. Nice job in shifting the focus from Palin, However.

Who vetted Palin? Decade's-old alleged sexual misconduct of a candidate's deceased friend should be no more relevant than sexual misconduct of a candidate's family member. Palin's link with the Alaska Independence Party (AIP) should be of greater concern than Obama's teenage association with a secret communist. A recent Accuracy In Media (AIM) column ("Bush Gave State Secrets to Obama") contains this paragraph:

"Because of his 30-year association with people who hate the United States, including communist Frank Marshall Davis., anti-American preacher Jeremiah Wright, and communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, it is highly doubtful that Obama could get a security clearance in the U.S. government he wants to lead."

Kincaid probably made up his story about Davis hating America before he knew that VP nominee Palin's husband was a member until 1992 of the AIP, whose founder directly expressed hate for the United States: "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions." The same man, AIP founder Joe Vogler, also said, "[T]he fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American government." (See http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/02/politics/animal/main4407224.shtml). THIS is concrete evidence of hate for the United States, in contrast to AIM's specious conjecture regarding Frank Marshall Davis.

Kincaid condemns teenage Obama for associating with secret communist Davis, whom he accuses (without evidence) of hating the United States. Palin's husband joined a blatantly anti-American party whose leader explicitly hated the United States. Palin's "link" to an anti-American organization is MUCH stronger than Obama's. Let's see how AIM tries to spin THIS one!

Mark-how does attacking Sara Palin, in any way improve your father's image?

Please describe how Sarah Palin is "anti"-American. Last time I checked, she had no association with any hardcore anti-U.S. radicals.

Trevor: Attacking Sara cannot improve my father's image. Only the truth, which the right-wing blogosphere has studiously avoided, can do so. I invite you, Kincaid, and everyone else to refute ANY of the "specific misrepresentations" (a.k.a. "lies") documented on my blog at http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/Kaleokualoha/gGxdvX.

For example, AIM misrepresents Romerstein's research (http://www.usasurvival.org/docs/hawaii-obama.pdf) concerning the 1949 NAACP incident:

AIM misrepresents the Congressional testimony of Edward Berman by falsely accusing my father of (a) sneaking into a NAACP meeting to convert it into a “front for the Stalinist line” (“Obama’s Red Mentor Praised Red Army”); (b) trying to take over multiple meetings of the Honolulu NAACP (“Obama Plays Reagan In Berlin, Al-Jazeera Journalist Funds Campaign”); (c) trying to take over not the Honolulu Branch, but the NAACP itself (“AP Lies About Obama’s Red Mentor”); and (d) being directly criticized by the NAACP’s Roy Wilkins (“Return of the Dupes and the Anti-Anti-Communists”). In the eyes of AIM apologists these lies may be “insignificant,” but they are VERY significant when levied against my father!

AIM still repeats the lie that the NAACP revoked its Honolulu Chapter’s charter in order to reorganize and PREVENT a Communist “takeover” of the organization, when the referenced Congressional testimony clearly states that the charter was revoked because the Honolulu Chapter refused to hold elections DESPITE the threat of a communist takeover. AIM lied "the NAACP revoked its Honolulu Chapter’s charter in order to reorganize and prevent a Communist takeover of the organization," when in reality the NAACP said the reason was that the Honolulu board, including Edward Berman, failed to hold mandated elections. For those who doubt that the Honolulu NAACP charter was revoked for failure to HOLD elections, here is the letter to the Honolulu NAACP, according to Congressional testimony:

[QUOTE]
Mr. Berman read the response of the NAACP to the Honolulu Branch: The board on November 14, 1949 voted to revoke the charter of the Honolulu branch for the following reasons:

“The officers of the Honolulu branch have, by their failure, refusal or neglect to complete the holding of the election of officers as required by the constitution and bylaws for branches and as ordered by the national office, been guilty of conduct inimical to the best interest of the NAACP.

The difference in the problems of racial discrimination in the continental United States and their solution as contrasted with the problems of the Territory makes difficult the applicability of techniques and methods used by branches and the national office to effect the policy of the association in the Territory.
[END QUOTE]

It is obvious that AIM misrepresented the reasoning for revoking the Honolulu NAACP charter. It is only one lie among many.

Mah29001: I never said Sara Palin is anti-American. She has a LINK (her husband) to an anti-American organization. We are comparing links here. Obama's casual link 30 years ago to someone (Davis) who was a member of an "anti-American" organization (the CPUSA) is no more relevant than Sara Palin's current intimate link to someone (her husband) who was a member until 2002 of an "anti-American" organization (the AIP). Pointing out the links is not attacking unless you contend that such links mean that the candidates themselves are "anti-American" because of the links. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, especially when Palin's link to a "subversive" is both stronger and more current than Obama's.

Or do you contend that the Alaska Independence Party is NOT anti-American? They are so anti-American they want to secede from the United States! Please read the founder's statements.

Hi MAH!

Mark

I have read the FBI file on your father. It states he became interested in the CPUSA in 1931.

I have evidence that he and fellow Hawaiian communist Harriet Bouslog were still supporting CPUSA fronts as late as 1973. Thats 3 years after meeting Obama.

So your father supported the CPUSA for possibly more than 40 years. That's no flirtation.

Obama has been been involved with CPUSA connected individuals almost his entire adult life.

I think its a safe bet that your father may have had some influence in that.

Gosh, Trevor, I thought I made it clear that he was undoubtedly involved with the CPUSA. That is not a point of contention, so raising it has become a red herring.

The points of contention involve the misrepresentations about my father epitomized by, but not limited to, AIM's lies concerning the 1949 NAACP incident. If you analyze it objectively, you can only conclude that AIM did, in fact, misrepresent the Congressional testimony of Edward Berman as outlined above.

I believe that you consider Cliff Kincaid to be a colleague, but that should not dissuade you from an objective analysis of these "specific misrepresentations." Even a friend can be wrong. Please give it your best shot to refute any of them.

The issue is journalistic integrity. Integrity versus loyalty is a classic conflict of interest. At the Defense Intelligence Agency, some analysts believed "Where you stand depends on where you sit." They may have aided and abetted the Iraqi threat disinformation campaign.

How do YOU handle such conflicts of interest?

Thanks!

Frank Marshall Davis...hmmm looking at that photo, I know I've seen that dude somewhere before? Was it bass in Issac Hayes band, or the brass section of Sly and Family Stone? Sly was of course a Black Panther and Issac dabbles in Scientology - so this IS a lead worth pursuing.

"I never said Sara Palin is anti-American. She has a LINK (her husband) to an anti-American organization."

Please make the sort of statements that the Alaskan Independence Party would make me more concern than somebody like Bill Ayers whom promoted a quote right before the day of the 9/11 anniversary of this year:

"The end of an empire is messy at best and this one is ending like all the rest."

Last time I checked, the Alaskan Independence Party never made any comments like that. You sir, are nothing more than a liar if you are trying to align the Palin Family with being anti-American. If I were an advisor of the Obama-Biden campaign and I came across a quote like that promoted on Bill Ayers blog:

http://billayers.wordpress.com/2008/09/10/the-end-of-an-empire-is-messy-at-best/

I would be concern that'll be quite damning to Obama's political career. Last time I checked, no associates of Sarah Palin or her husband made those comments. You lie, lie, lie. That's what's going on here.

I also do not get on how you can label the Palin Family "anti-American" when one of their children is heading to Iraq to serve his country. Only some liar would ignore something like that.

Who labeled the Palin Family "anti-American"? The Palin family is LINKED to an anti-American organization, the Alaska Independence Party, which wants to secede from America. A candidate's LINK to an anti-American organization does not render the candidate "anti-American," regardless of whether the candidate's name is Palin or Obama.

The FOUNDER of the AIP made the statements, posted above, and repeated for your information: "I'm an Alaskan, not an American.

The American Hertitage dictionary defines “Anti-American” as “Opposed or hostile to the government, official policies, or people of the United States." Joe Vogler hated the government of the United States, which rendered him "anti-American." The AIP opposes the government of the United States of America, which renders it "anti-American."

Please do not misrepresent my remarks. What lie was posted?

Could you please provide a quote that leaders of the Alaskan Independence Party have stated? Versus Obama's long-time relationship with his former pastor Jeremiah Wright whom is an admirer of Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam known to be rabidly anti-Semitic and anti-American.

The fact that YOU purposely ignore that truth, while not providing proof that Palin Family members are ever anti-American exposes what a liar you are. That you sir, are dishonest and should hang your head in shame.

MAH29001 POSTED: "Could you please provide a quote that leaders of the Alaskan Independence Party have stated"

RESPONSE: OK, once again, a statement from founder and LEADER of the AIP, Joe Vogler: ""I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions." Joe Vogler also said, "[T]he fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American government." Vogler served as Chairman of the Party from 1986 until his death in 1993. Is that statement from an AIP LEADER posted enough times for you, or do you still need it another time?

MAH29001 POSTED: "The fact that YOU purposely ignore that truth, while not providing proof that Palin Family members are ever anti-American exposes what a liar you are.

RESPONSE: What truth do I "ignore"? That Todd Palin was an AIP member until 2002? That the AIP is opposed to Alaska staying in the United States, and thereby meets the definition of "anti-American"? Once again, what "lie" was posted? Please be specific.

I never stated that Palin Family members are "anti-American," did I? Todd Palin was a member of an anti-American organization until 2002. That does not make him anti-American, only his organization. Do you understand the difference?

Wow! Right-wingers react harshly to even posting an irrefutable link (Todd Palin) between candidate Palin and an anti-American organization (the AIP), whose founder "hated" the American government.. Can you imagine a right-winger's apoplexy if:

- A series of posts also suggested the candidate may have "anti-American" attitudes BECAUSE of the link?
- A series of posts then victimized the link by exaggerating the link's "anti-American" attitudes through deliberate misrepresentation?
- In addition, the right-winger was RELATED to the victimized link?

The reaction would not be pretty!

In the interests of an honest debate, can we agree to avoid using "straw man" arguments, which is exaggerating your opponent's position in order to make an easier target?

From Wikipedia: "A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.[1] To "set up a straw man," one describes a position that superficially resembles an opponent's actual view, yet is easier to refute, then attributes that position to the opponent. For example, one might deliberately overstate the opponent's position.[1] While a straw man argument may work as a rhetorical technique—and succeed in persuading people—it carries little or no real evidential weight, since the opponent's actual argument has not been refuted."
