All human beings have the same gifts and abilities as far as I am concerned, and some use those gifts to grow and make their society a better place, while others look backwards and view the world through a lens of resentment and anger. Its not a matter of what 'race' you are; it's a matter of how you think.

Unfortunately, in New Zealand, many of the latter are funded and actually encouraged in their faulty world view by the very state that they profess to hate so much.

Obviously at least one of the 'anonymous' commenters here supports these backward and negative views.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18947592.post-42445899785669406322007-11-13T17:39:00.000+13:002007-11-13T17:39:00.000+13:00Lots of grumpy racists out there...Lots of grumpy racists out there...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18947592.post-9905896942113364672007-11-13T12:19:00.000+13:002007-11-13T12:19:00.000+13:00What Dave Mann said!Exactly. What Dave Mann said!
Exactly.KGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01940428991630766942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18947592.post-23570706224316845002007-11-13T07:58:00.000+13:002007-11-13T07:58:00.000+13:00Anonymous, the research seems impeccable because t...Anonymous, the research seems impeccable because the man actually knows where to look for the facts (on socialism's attacks on the West) and then he comments upon them.

Why on earth would a trip to a shithouse like Mexico's indigenous revolutionary agitators benefit the 'people of Aotearoa', you brainwashed idiot?

Far from it, a trip to New Zealand by the Zapatistas might show these fuckwits how an education system, free healthcare, democratic corruption-free voting and work opportunities in a relatively advanced society have helped your much loved 'indigenous' people to have a standard of living that only the rich in Mexico could aspire to.

Following this, of course, you could take them down to your precious 'Aotearoa' in the backblocks outside Taneatua and show them where their shit infested third worldism is leading your 'people'.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18947592.post-6882505620350383722007-11-13T01:39:00.000+13:002007-11-13T01:39:00.000+13:00Did not Marx say of religion "It is the opium of t...Did not Marx say of religion "It is the opium of the people."?

Trvor, The notion of "human rights" norms as being a "western concept" is an idea found amongst some Latin American communist movements. The most extreme and unpalatable example of this can be found with the Shining Path. But I do not know what it would be about in the Zapatistan context.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18947592.post-10068183952553159782007-11-12T21:37:00.000+13:002007-11-12T21:37:00.000+13:00I don't see what's so "impeccable" about your "res...I don't see what's so "impeccable" about your "research". All you've done is hijacked someone else's blog and added your own narrow-minded comments.

Since when is socialism such a dirty word? The principles of socialism are the same principles Christ tried to put into practice 2000 years ago, before the Christian church hijacked his teachings in the name of capitalism and hegemonic terrestrial power.

Rather than reacting blindly to words like "socialism" and "zapatista" maybe you need to study a little bit of Mexican history so you would understand that these ideals came into being to help the "have-nots", a concept that modern-day Christians such as the exclusive brethren, with their double-garage opulence, seem to be far divorced from.

As they say in Mexico: "Pobre MĂ©jico, tan lejos de Dios y tan cerca a los Estados Unidos." [Poor Mexico, so far from God and so near to the United States.]

Go and study your history and then you may understand why a trip to such a culture might be beneficial to the people of Aotearoa.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18947592.post-45641914816342335842007-11-12T16:56:00.000+13:002007-11-12T16:56:00.000+13:00Trev its good to see you on the ball.
