Canterbury Uni Clubs Day.

Called in to Clubs Day at Canterbury Uni today. ACT on Campus had their stand right next to the Young Nats. Both were doing a good trade. AOC Canterbury president Andrew Falloon and helpers, had signed up more than thirty members by the time I'd left, which was even better than last year. The Nats were friendly and the co-operative spirit was good.

I chatted to former United Future MP, Marc Alexander, proudly wearing his new National Party colours. Marc wants to be back in parliament and he doesn't want to risk being in partnership with Labour. Marc was the best thing the No Future Party ever had going for them, so I hope the Nats give him a winnable seat or high list spot for election time. Marc thinks it may well be before 2008.

Also spotted Philip Ferguson forlornly manning the Young Workers Party stand. Philip is neither young nor a worker and he didn't look in a "party" mood. Do I feel a Socialist Academic Profile coming on?

The Workers Party in Wellington signed up 38 members at the Vic Clubs Day, something's funny in the water up there!
