Why Can't We Be Friends?
Expat ACT Goddess, Cathy Odgers has done an interesting guest post on Clint Heine's Blog.
Like most of us she wants Sir Roger Douglas and Rodney Hide to work more constructively together
My formal disclosure is that I absolutely love both Roger
and Rodney. For entirely different reasons. I have never
met two completely different, yet so similar beasts in my
life.
Check it out here. It paints a very interesting picture of both men. By a woman who loves them both in her own special way.

Trevor, are you familiar with the story about what happened to Robin Booth when he was a board member and what Gary Mallett allegedly did to him?
You can find more info on Heine's blog in the comments section by Graham Watson, and on the Whig's blog made by Booth himself. If they are true they paint a nasty picture of ACT's new president.
Who killed Lane Hunt?
I think whatever Garry may have done in the past, he starts his Presidency with a blank slate and he should be given a chance to revive the party's fortunes.
Question is.... Why is Cathy doing a guest feature on Clints blog and not her own? I still thin Roger Douglas should retire quietly unless his press releases are approved by the ACT board and leader.
Rob makes a great point. It's all very well to treat Sir Roger Douglas as a deity within ACT (his nickname among old guards in ACT is "The Holy Father"), but he should be subject to putting his comments past ACT's communications people prior to public release.
Rob,
Cathys blog is still undergoing a bit of construction. Plus, she wanted it under her name and not Cactus Kate.
Surely the past dealings with Robin and Garry have been dragged through the mud enough now. We all need to move on otherwise this will just slow us down.
Cathy Odgers and Cactus Kate are the same person? Who would have known!
heine,
Move on, good point. When will Robin be let back in the ACT party? Is the restriction going to go on for his lifetime?
After the way he was treated for his massive voluntary contribution do you think he would want to rejoin.
I suppose it would demonstrate ACT rejects its undemocratic past, but do you seriously think the new President, after leading the charge against Robin, has changed enough to let him back in?
If Garry has changed in the last two years, this would be a good way to show it.
It would need a lot of give and take from both sides for either to accept each others fault in the matter.
I doubt Robin has any interest in rejoining especially as he has started to drag skeletons out on ACT already. Probably not the move from a man wanting to rejoin? :)
