Paolo Friere and Myles Horton

Two of the great Marxist educators of the 20th Century, Myles Horton and Paolo Freire, admired each others work.

In 1990 they collaborated on a book "We Make the Road by Walking"- consisting of conversations on their respective brands of education for "social change"


It would probably have tickled them to know that less than half a decade later, a small group of committed activists would be putting their ideas into action in far off New Zealand.
