Heather's Back

TV1’s "Sunday" program last night followed the progress of Territorial Force COY Basic Training Course 142.

It was great to see ACT MP Heather Roy in DPFs and camo paint, pepper potting through tussock, swimming ice cold streams and throwing hand grenades.

Heather came across extremely well in the interview segments. She clearly enjoyed the challenge of the training and had a clear appreciation of what 'grunt" life is all about.

I think Heather's TF training has been a very positive exercise, which will give her even more authority when speaking on national security issues.

Congratulations on a job well done, Private Roy.

Thanks for putting in the effort. I'll bet you've inspired more than a few new recruits.

Well I wouldn't object but I suspect Heather would and I am almost certain Duncan would!

Really great, but one thing I noticed is that she always speaks softly, even when yelling out things to her fellow soldiers.
