Venezuela's Left Vote Well Up

From a report by US Communist observers on the recent Venezuelan election.

From the CPUSA's Political Affairs 11.12.06

Rummel's delegation of US Communists also met with representatives of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV), which endorsed Chávez for president. In Venezuela's system of voting, voters select candidates by picture and by party symbol.

While more than two dozen political parties endorsed Chávez, PCV received more than 335,000 votes, making it the fourth largest party on the left. In the 2005 parliamentary elections, the PCV received only about 119,000.

Chávez's party, the Fifth Republic Movement, won more than 4.5 million of the 7.2 million votes cast for Chávez.

Chávez won majorities in every state and the capitol district, including major opposition candidate Manuel Rosales' home state of Zulia.

I wonder how long will it take for Chavez to fully turn Venezuela into a full Communist state? Considered Chavez is quite praised by various Communist parties, even Venezuela's own Communist party along with the Communist Party USA backing him.

Just goes to show that Chavez's true colors are simply RED, RED, RED.

Sorry I've been a bit absent the last few days Trev. Were you as happy as I was when you heard Pinochet had died?

Why would I be happy about the death of a sad old man?

I can't remember being happy about the death of any human being Cameron.

A rather murderous old man. Wouldn't have you have been happy to hear of Stalin's death had you been around in 1953?

This is the first time I've actually felt happy about someone dying. Some rather strange emotions actually. It's sort of like the end of an era with his death.

Not trying to be "holier than thou" Cameron, but I don't really personalise politics.

I believe even the worst of us have some redeeming features, so even when an evildoer dies, I'm sad that they left this world in such a perilous state.

I fight against bad ideas, Cameron, not bad people. Although I profile people and no doubt cause them some discomfort, its the ideas they live out that concern me rather than the people themselves.

In fact, I hope that by confronting people with their stupid ideas, some of them might see a glimmer of light one day.

Likewise, I welcome criticism of my own ideas, because it helps me examine and adjust them if necessary.

Allende was murderous too Cameron. He just was never given the chance to prove how murderous.

Me, I will party hard when Castro dies. You will probably go into mourning.

Cameron. Do you apply the same hatred towards Castro or Kim Jong Il?

It's amazing how the leftist media world wide has been able to rewrite the Chilean Revolution. Pinochet was a piker with regard to human rights violations compared to any of the living leftist "leaders". Having spent time in both Cuba and Venezuela I can testify that the country is well on the road to a one party dictatorship and Chavez is preparing to rewrite the constitution to be president for life. For data on the Chilean revolution see:
