Damn' Straight Greg


Canterbury University Sociologist Greg Newbold in today's Sunday Star Times.

New Zealand's high imprisonment rate-second only to the United States-was high only because of high Maori offending rates, he says.

"It's not the fault of the criminal justice system. It's the fault of the people committing the offences".
