Indian Murder Update for Workers Party People
Here is a murder update for the Workers Party. The table, compiled by Indian Naxal Terror Watch details the killings carried out by your Maoist Naxalite comrades in India in 2006.
Please note that in every state, civilian murders (liberations)outweigh the number of security personnel killed.
Just thought you'd like to know.

Trevor, those statistics on india make interesting reading. For a moment I thought i was viewing the annual crime figures from Washington DC, crime capital of America.
Dirk
The subtle difference here Dirk is that these are politically motivated and systematic murders, designed to achieve certain social changes.
The second point is that we have a small political sect in NZ, the Workers Party that is supporting these murderers.
I think they should be exposed for the collaborators they are-what do you think?
Sorry Trevor, I wasnt trying to make light of your article.
Like you I suspect that the issues are polictaly motivated and I have no doubt the protagonists have cells operating here as well as elsewhere.
It just struck me as funny that in America the violent death of peoples caused through crime of all persuasions, though having its roots in political agendas, is put down to a "dysfunctional society". Which i asure you, it certainly is.
Dirk.
Reid.Just because a "criminal" dies by violent means, doesnt make that person any less a victim.
The point i make is that some people become victims of their enviroment, which generally speaking will have its roots in the fertile ground of politics. Some times people become "criminals" to survive their enviroment, which ends up having a domino effect.
I thought America had a burgeoning prison poplulation. If crime is decreasing, why are the prisons overflowing? Is Washington DC no longer the murder capital of America? Which city nows has that dubious honour?
If as you say opinion polls show crime is not at the top of the worry list anymore. May I inquire ,which of the ten thousand opinion polls are you quoting?
I suggest all types of criminal behaviour are acts of violence.
"If crime is decreasing, why are the prisons overflowing?"
You don't need a triple digit IQ to understand that more criminals in prison means less crime. I know many leftists who don't get the logic. They let their politics cloud elementary logic.
Reid of America
Your logic astounds me. Why didnt I think of that?
I wonder what the prison waiting list is all about?
I used to let politics cloud my judgement. But these days making money is more fun.
Dirk.
With that "logic" I reckon Reid Of America is probably Mah In Disguise. I'm quite forensic for that sort of thing you know. Being a hard-out practitioner of the Marxist Dialectic and all that.
Like, the reality is we have a finite, statistically proven number of "criminals", which means the more people you tag with the label and put to prison, the less you have on the street. What are you saying that's a dumbarse hypothesis ? It's the only way to go man !
No non sequitur there far as I can see.
Kia Ora and Ka Kite !
Makes perfect sense to me Reid.
A small percentage of criminals commit most of the crime.
Put them away for longer and overall crime rates must fall.
Bit too straightforward for our government though.
"With that "logic" I reckon Reid Of America is probably Mah In Disguise. I'm quite forensic for that sort of thing you know. Being a hard-out practitioner of the Marxist Dialectic and all that."
How uneducated can one get to make this "assertion"?
In theory Putting people in prison should be the answer to stopping crime. unfortunately prison is no longer a deterrent to crime. Our overflowing prisons are proof of that. The penal system has long been under the control of organised crime in New Zealand as in other countries. Australia and america for example.
What better place to run ilicit organisations than from the realtive safety of the big house. I suggest criminals do not fear prison at all.
The current investigations into the New Zealand prison system is just the tip of an iceberg which has been growning out of sight for many many years.
Prisons are not the answer to solving crime. they breed it.
But the reality is there are no solutions to New Zealands problems. It will just get worse. Its everyman for themselves.
Become a politician and get on the gravey train, Or get left on the station smelling the smoke as the train roars through. Prison is but one destination. It depends on which branch line you take. Donna Awetere Huata and her husband proved that.
Dirk.
"Prisons are not the answer to solving crime. they breed it."
I hope you are not stating about those gulags in Communist nations.
This statement reminds me of Angela Davis' statement on prisons at the same time, she traveled and received the "Lenin Peace Prize" in East Germany.
Angela Davis, Now there is one sexy lady.
But as far as prisons go i only have my own first hand experience to base my argument on.
Anybody who thinks crime is on the decrease thanks to a get tough attitude to crime is living in LA LA land.
Crime is comming to a street near you soon!
Dirk
Dirk prisons deter a very small few. They rehabilitate an even smaller few.
What they do do, or should do is incarcerate dangerous people for long periods of time.
That's all I ask of the prison system.
Not much to ask really is it?
"Angela Davis, Now there is one sexy lady.

Please Dirk. Her front project-Critical Resistance blabbed about how it stopped building future prisons in California. Now the Governator has to send prisoners out of state. Yea, that certainly worked wonders for those prisoners. Not!
How about Davis and her Critical Resistance front group embracing terrorists in the Black Liberation Army or perhaps the May 19th Communist MOvement that reside in Cuba?
I also find it to be quite hyprocritical for Davis to be against prisons, but was also given safe haven to the police state of Communist Cuba ruled by the likes of Fidel Castro.
Now with anyone who has a rational mind, just what's wrong with that?
I'm all in favor of Prisons, they are great places to keep the bad guys. How we define "Bad" is another matter.
Prisons wont cure societies ills, they only contain them for awhile.
Apart from the obvious cliches abouting righting the wrongs of a society gone wrong, how do we solve the dilemma of crime?
Dirk.
