Pyongyang, April 9 Dancing parties of youth and students were held in different parts of the country on Monday to mark the 14th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

Dancing grounds in Pyongyang, Phyongsong, Sariwon, Hamhung, Chongjin and other cities and parts of the country were crowded with young people from all walks of life carrying their unbounded reverence for Kim Jong Il.

At the plazas of the Tower of the Juche Idea, the Monument to Party Founding, the April 25 House of Culture and Pyongyang Indoor Stadium and other places of Pyongyang, youth and students merrily danced to the tune of such songs as "Confetti of Best Wishes" and "Let's Sing of Our Pride in Being under the Guidance of the General."

The dancing parties vividly manifested the revolutionary zeal and determination of youth and students to take the lead in upholding Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership with loyalty and fully display the wisdom and valor of young vanguard in the on-going worthwhile drive for the prosperity of the country
