Achim Steiner, Climate Change Propagandist

According to Wikipedia, Achim Steiner is a;

German expert in environmental politics. From 2001 to 2006 he was Director General of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). Since June 2006 he is Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

He is becoming the expert voice on climate change and is helping to bring about real improvements in the climate for change. Steiner buys personal climate quotas to compensate for all his traveling, including trips by private jet.

This is what Steiner's colleague, IUCN president Valli Moosa said, when Steiner moved to head the United Nations Environment Programme;

"On behalf of the Union, I congratulate Achim. He has led the organization with remarkable vision and energy, and has helped rethink, reinvigorate and reposition the Union over the past five years, leaving it stronger than ever," said IUCN president Valli Moosa, a former South African environment minister.

"It is significant that his exceptional talents are now put at the disposal of UNEP, which we have always considered as our sibling organization in the fight for a greener and fairer planet," said Moosa. "While we may lose an outstanding Director General, we will be gaining an excellent partner."

The article neglects to mention that Moosa has long been a senior member of the South African Communist Party.
