Chavez Calls for New international of Left Parties

Venezuela's Marxist President Hugo Chavez wants to re-found the Communist International!

Socialist Worker Central committee member Vaughn Gunson, writing on UnityBlog

Hugo Chavez has called for a new International of left parties. Speaking to thousands of activists who’ve joined the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), he said: “2008 could be a good time to convoke a meeting of left parties in Latin America to organize a new International, an organisation of parties and movements of the left in Latin America and the Caribbean.”

Chavez says the PSUV would play an active role in the international arena, in the context of a resurgence of left parties and movements around the world.

Chavez also defended the policies of a late Argentinean dictator that started the Falkland War against Britain just so Chavez could target the British and U.S. navys. And the fellow Chavez went to defend was a dictator affiliated with the death squads that Chavez's supporters often claim to be on "CIA pay roll". Gee, how can they stomach Chavez now that he's sticking up for such an Argentinean dictator who had associations with these death squads?

Gee-zuz ! How can anyone stomach Mah ? Several times in the last month he's aggressively defended the white South African apartheid regime of yore as "simply conservative". Can you believe it ?

You know, the murderous apartheid regime which wasn't merely "associated" with the Vlakplaas and other white racist "death squads" in South Africa - it financed the bastards and denied their existence until the Truth and Reconciliation hearings - then it disowned them.

It's "TOMS" - The Old Mah Story - one rule for him and his - a different rule for the everybody else, for the "non-chosen".

And what a shrew he can be when you point out his staggering double standards ! Variuosly weeping and whining and snarling.....

Steve, stop sticking up for Chavez. He wants to create a "South American Army" and is an apologist to the Argentinean dictator who started the Falkland War. You certainly don't give a damn about that you hypocrite and Chavez apologist.

Steve, this isn't about the apartheid regime of South Africa, or MAH 'supposed' support of it.

This is about Chavez, and your cheerleading of him. Stop trying to change the subject. And stop your bullying too.

When did Chavez stand up for an ex-Argentine dictator? I'm quite interested. Could you please provide a link.

Oh Poor, Poor, Poor Old Exo, so worried about Mahgabe The Crazy Zionist Thing From NY !

Truth is Exo you're an underdeveloped character who so fancies himself as some hard out thing that he gives himself some ridiculous name suggesting a lethal armament.

I call you Pop Gun really. Some angry Maori hating ACT "activist" from'd have a peeling bumper sticker on your ute muttering some shit about "Freedom" wouldn't you ?

A Central Districts Mahgabe I venture.....

Cameron, these fanatical unhappy folk don't need any provenance.....they're dishonest. They just "say" them a buzz just to "say". Chickenhawk like !

Funny how you attempt to laud Mugabe's name toward my screen name with your cowardly bullying. Nelson Mandela's buddies in the African National Congress are quite chummy with Mugabe and there's even a photo up of Mbeki, the "moderate" current ANC leader with Zimbabwean tyrant Mugabe.

So it's certainly seems alright that your "heroes" in the ANC get to support a reversal of what they opposed. An apartheid regime in the Zimbabwean state against the old white Rhodesian class and now the Zimbabwean state is an apartheid for black Zimbabweans too.

It was on the Falkland War where Chavez wants a "South American Army" so that he can target U.S., British navys in the near future.

Yawn. Whatever steve.

Call me silly names, leap to bizzare conclusions about who and what I am, foam at the mouth and try to bully your away around the fact that you cannot and will not face.

Face it chum, you shill for Chavez's neo-comminuist regime.

I really think you need to go there steve, you'd love it there. You could be Che to Chavez's Castro.
