Who Supports New Zealand's "Terrorists"?

It is my contention that the 17 "terrorists" arrested last Monday are part of two, possibly three, major interrelated international networks.

I believe that NZ Maori radicals have links with indigenous revolutionary and activist networks worldwide, particularly in the US, Canada, the Philippines, the Pacific and Latin America.

I believe this network is allied to the international anarchist movement, which seems to be strongest in Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America.

I believe both the radical indigenous and anarchist networks are united by their admiration for the Mexican Zapatista revolutionaries and their supporters in Bolivia and other Latin American countries.

Further, I believe that both the anarchist and indigenous strands have significant links to both mainsteam Marxism-Leninist parties and the Trotksyist movement.

My next post will look at a prominent "terrorist 17" support activist with links to all camps.

Hmm or perhaps they are united by a shared experience of colonisation....

Yes people have met from across the globe but its hardly a "network"

  4. It seems like these NZ Maouri radicals are operating as sleeper cells, more likely quite similar to other terrorist groups along with early anarco-Communist terrorists in the U.S. and in Europe.

I'd say they are united by their rage at being unable to cope with the industrialized world and the 21st century. They believe only violent revolution will return them to their "utopian" aboriginal past.

The indigenous rights movements worldwide are both recessive and reactionary. There is nothing progressive about aboriginal cultures. To aboriginals I say get with the democracy and capitalism program or fall further behind. Read Hernando deSoto instead of Karl Marx.

    Trevor,

It was good to see ACT party leader Rodney Hide stand up for liberty tonight in parliament and oppose the passage of the Suppression of Terrorism Act, alongside his parliamentary colleagues in the Maori and Green parties.

He questioned the draconian powers that Clarke and co now take for themselves- how, on the word of one woman, an organisation can be deemed terrorist, have its assets frozen, and people locked up.

Another right winger, Ross Meraunt, has also admirably spoke out for liberty at the moment, fearing a groupthink peer culture within the Intelligence community that has led to the present debacle.

You yourself have researched many of these people accused, who are now held without bail in a "Guantanamo" grey legal area, and you probably know deep down within you that these guys are not terrorist. Dreamers, maybe. Idiots, definitely. But a secret revolutionary organisation led by someone as public and as theatrical as Tame Iti? Cue belly laugh.

Recessive and reactionary you say Fried of Amerika ? - Thank you racist pig the author of "Palestinians are depraved losers.....". And you Jewish laddies complain about racism ???

Anyway, trust Mah and the said Fried of Amerika to come on with vigour surpassing that employed in the last of their coital episodes......Nagasaki's a long time ago mates !

Being more direct - piss off you stale old NY bagels.

You know nothing about Aotearoa/New Zealand. We're not in your sick old corrupt dynamic so forget it !

Well - Auckland Central Remand is a bitch place - no email - no Poo Peel - food's shit. And imagine having to room with an ACT fraudster - struck off lawyer or land agent or mortgage broker or something.

Couldn't keep their hungry eyes off my cute brown ass the bastards ! But they never got me btw !

The TAB ain't got the balls to take my bet but I will wager $1,000 ($NZ Mah - you wanna get it on) - that out of this "terrorist" bullshit we're gonna get a number of unlawful possession of firearms convictions under the Arms Act and that'll be it. They won't even do community work.

Christ, you could take a 20 kilometere radius from my own rural paradise in which I am once again ensconced (thanks to the enlightened new bail rules) - and find at least 100 transgressors.

Most of them ACT voting farmers holed up in their boltholes and gritting their crumbling teeth dangerously. Convinced beyond all else that they matter.

And every single one of them "terrorists" of course !

    Get a life you drama-queen wankers !

That's a long list to attach to a superlative. A bit too long, actually. The Anarchist movement (quite unfortunately, from my perspective) is actually quite weak in English-speaking countries. There are a lot more of us in Europe & Latin America. I think Trevor's research has been biased by the English language dominance of the Internet.

    Trevor also said:

What has Trevor been smoking? If he knew anything at all about Anarchism, he would realise that most Anarchists have a visceral antagonism towards all Marxist-Leninist and Trotskyist groups. I'm in the minority who are sufficiently confident in our politics to do political battle in a civil fashion. I can even be (moderately) civil to Right-wing "libertarians" who do a good impression of a foaming Tory and seem not to understand the contradiction between slashing government to the bone and junking the principle of innocent till proven guilty.

Finally, Trevor would do well to get some evidence for some of his wilder speculations. It might help him in case one of his targets turns out to be someone who can afford a defamation lawyer.

    Hey Steve from Northland,

Do indigenous rights include the right to return to cannibalism? If not why not.

Either you are progressive or you are multicultural. Progressives embracing multiculturalism is as hypocritical as their embrace of Islamic fascism.

I don't believe in indigenous rights. I believe in equal rights.

I don't believe in social justice. I believe in justice.

NZ shouldn't be suprised that it's radical Maori elements have gone "Palestinian". Pandering to the Palestinian cause comes with a cost. It legitimizes indigenous terror.
