The Real Purpose of Political Correctness
Some profound Truth from British writer Theodore Dalrymple
"Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better.
When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed.
A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect, and is intended to."

Dalrymple is a verbose and egoistic fool as his verbal meanderings while in NZ in recent times prove.
Dishonest spin, the claim to rare insight, and an inability to distinguish subjectivity and objectivity mark such right wing toadies.
People who make a career of travelling free all over the show to gabble on at similarly confused others. With such pompous majesty about them - there's your egoism.
A "writer" - what a joke ! "Crusty right wing zealot" defines the man much more keenly.
Steve are you grumpy after watching the Kiwis go down to the Poms 3-0?
Your whole post attacks the man-not a word about the content.
Why is that Steve?
Err..what about addressing what the man actually said Steve?
Or would that be too embarrassing, eh?
"Dishonest spin, the claim to rare insight, and an inability to distinguish subjectivity and objectivity mark such right wing toadies."
Is just hilarious--and pathetic.
Dalrymple attacked NZ's culture of welfare and drug-use, Dalrymple has first-hand experience in dealing with the results of those things, he's one of the most widely-read and respected authors in the world.Yet some idiot from Northland--the capital of skunk and welfare...claims that he lacks the ability to distinguish between the objective and subjective.
Riiiight...
Playing the man and not the ball is all Steve has KG.
It's all he ever will be.
