Obama Praises Brazil's Marxist President

US President Obama calls Brazil's president "Lula" the most popular politician on earth.

Of course "Lula" happens to be a Marxist with close ties to one of Brazil's main communist parties.

From an article on the Communist Party of Brazil (PCoB)in the US communist organisation Workers World Party publication October 25th 2005

Lula has attended every PCdoB congress since 1989. This time, as president of Brazil, Lula was the main speaker at the opening session. He thanked the PCdoB for its loyal support, to the enthusiastic applause of the delegates. He spoke under the PCdoB banner with its hammer and sickle and the slogans, "A renewed party, a socialist future, a sovereign Brazil."
