ElBaradei's Unsavory Associates

Mohamed ElBaradei

Self appointed spokesman for the Egyptian "revolution" Mohamed ElBaradei is not a man to inspire confidence in pro-Western circles.

Tariq Rauf
As head of the U.N's International Atomic Energy Agency (1997-2009) ElBaradei cultivated a circle of advisers, a "kitchen cabinet" - that included an accused Russian spy, Canadian national and IAEA Verification and Security head Tariq Rauf.

However it is ElBaradei's service on the Board of the International Crisis Group that should really set alarm bells ringing.

With a  staff of 130, based in 46 countries and an annual budget of $15.5 million, the I.C.G. is an influential but little publicized organization.

According to I.C.G.'s  own website;
The International Crisis Group is now generally recognised as the world’s leading independent, non-partisan, source of analysis and advice to governments, and intergovernmental bodies like the United Nations, European Union and World Bank, on the prevention and resolution of deadly conflict. Our work has been applauded by, among others, former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan (‘a global voice of conscience, and a genuine force for peace’)...
A more accurate description might be -  meddlesome cabal of internationalists, mega "capitalists", socialists and communist troublemakers.

ElBaradei's I.C.G. Board colleagues include;

Thomas R. Pickering - Co-Chair, Crisis Group Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Russia, India, Israel, Jordan, El Salvador and Nigeria Vice Chairman of Hills & Company - a member of the Science and Security Board for the  communist initiated and infiltrated Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists

Cheryl Carolus
Cheryl Carolus - Former South African High Commissioner to the UK and Secretary General of the A.N.C. Carolus was also in the early 1990s, a member of the South African Communist Party "Interim Leadership Group".

George Soros - Chairman, Open Society Institute

Kofi Annan - Former Secretary-General of the United Nations

Wesley Clark - Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Europe. Trustee of the leftist and highly influential U.S. "think tank" Center for American Progress

Gareth Evans - President Emeritus of Crisis Group; Former Foreign Affairs Minister of Australia. Affiliate of the socialist Australian Fabian Society

Joschke Fischer
Joschka Fischer - Former Green Party Foreign Minister of Germany. A former far left communist/anarchist activist and affiliate of several known terrorists.

Igor Ivanov Former Foreign Affairs Minister of the Russian Federation. Former Soviet era Foreign Ministry  official

Jessica Tuchman Mathews President of the leftist  Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, U.S. Affiliate of the internationalist Council of Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission. Serves on the Board of Sponsors of the communist initiated and infiltrated  Federation of American Scientists

Senior Advisors to I.C.G. include;

Oscar Arias - Leftist former President of Costa Rica. Mark Engler was Boston Democratic Socialists of America’s last paid staff person, before he moved  to Costa Rica to become a speech writer for Oscar Arias.

Zbigniew Brzezinski - Leftist former U.S. National Security Advisor to the President. Affiliated to the Trilateral Commission

Jorge Castenada
Jorge Castenada -  Former Foreign Minister of Mexico. A one time  member of the Mexican Communist Party and a biographer of Che Guevara. Castenada was alleged to have been a Cuban spy during his time as Foreign Minister

Joaquim Alberto Chissano - Former Marxist-Leninist President of Mozambique

Jacques Delors - Former French Socialist Party Minister and President of the European Commission

Cyril Ramaphosa Former Secretary General, African National Congress, South Africa. A committed socialist and South African Communist Party ally

Judging by the company he keeps, is Mohamed ElBaradei likely to lead Egypt into a more open pro - Western style of government?

Or will he take the most strategically placed country in the Middle East   into the increasingly powerful Russia/China/Iran/radical Islamic axis?

I'm still bumfuzzled by this unholy alliance of Western leftists with the 'democracy movement' in Egypt. Virtually every one of ElBaradel's unsavory associates is an infidel by Islamic standards. Who is using who here and how long can this marriage of convenience last??
