This comes with a very strong obscenity warning.

Those right wing, "Tea Party" supporting nasties at FreedomWorksAction recorded some choice emails and phone messages from the peace loving, kindly and tolerant US left.

Communist Democrat Claims Dems Will Increase Majority in 2010

So the Republicans think they have 2010 in the bag?

Cross posted from KeyWiki blog.

Dan Margolis is the chair of the New York State Communist Party . In addition he writes for the People's World, covering local New York City and state issues, as well as events at the United Nations. Margolis has been active in New York City elections, including as the mid-Staten Island coordinator for the 2004 Democratic Congressional campaign.

People's World, Margolis tells us;
In talking about the current Democratic majority and its fate in the 2010 elections, news editors have been using words such as "slipping," "imperiled," and even "doomed" in their headlines.

Reading such press, one gets the idea that the Republican Party is poised to take over the country and derail a nascent era of reforms even before it gets off the ground. Some say the GOP takeover will be, perhaps, on a scale as grand as the 1994 "revolution" led by Newt Gingrich.

But April, despite the messages from the Republican Party and their friends in much of the media, is a strange time to consider the fate of a November election. And even stranger to say it's fate is sealed. Polls are notoriously misleading. People's opinions are fluid. And the Republican Party is on the wrong side of virtually all issues important to the American people.

To see how the Republican Party's program is exactly at odds with the desires of the people, all one has to do is look at the attitudes of the public towards Wall Street, and then at the Republicans in Congress, where they act as the chief defenders of the Goldman Sachs and their ilk.
Margolis then goes on to draw an analogy to the 2009 New York mayoral elections.
Plus, the experience of the New York City 2009 mayoral election is instructive. Voters were told for weeks, even right up to Election Day, that the mayoral race would be a blow out. Billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg would defeat Democratic challenger Bill Thompson handily, the pollsters screamed. The big question, according to the pundits, was whether Thompson would lose by more than 20 points, or less.

But hardly anyone in real life seemed to be saying they liked Bloomberg. The most common refrain was, "Why bother voting? He has it in the bag." In essence, the media was operating in Bloomberg's camp, trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The polls were wrong. Bloomberg won by less than five points, despite predictions of victory by a historic margin. Bloomberg spent $200 million, more than any other municipal candidate in the history of the world. How come he won by such a small margin? How were the polls so wrong?
Margolis then points out an obvious flaw in political polling, those NOT counted.
Polls focus on "likely voters" and "prime voters" (those who've voted in the past few elections, in primaries and in off-year elections). But others have begun to register and vote. Obama won in 2008 based on the mobilization of millions of people who had never voted before. These newly-energized people weren't counted in the polls then, and still aren't.
That is why the Communist Party, ACORN spin-offs, Project Vote, SEIU, USAction and hundreds of other organizations will be doing everything in their power to enroll millions of new voters by November. That is why 'immigration reform" , union pay-offs, make work job schemes and all manner of voter bribes will be rolled out in the next few months.
If we want to make sure the Republican extremists don't take back the House and Senate, the movement that elected Obama-mainly labor unions, the African American, Latino and Asian communities, women and young people-has to come together in states and congressional districts across the country.

Good news is many are already mobilizing for the November mid-term elections. And many key coalition constituents are at work around big issues: health care, jobs, immigrant rights. This helps to build unity, momentum and score victories.

That's why I am boldly predicting the Democrats will hold onto their majority, and pick up a few seats to boot.
The Republicans massively under-estimated the power of the US left in the 2008 elections.

2010 may be America's last chance to turn back the communist-socialist-Democratic Party agenda.

The Republicans need to listen not just to their own pollsters, but also to "insiders" like Dan Margolis.

Vietnamese Communists Thank Soviet Veterans

Remember how the Soviets used to deny they were sending military personnel to Vietnam?

Cross posted from KeyWiki Blog

From the Vietnam News Agency April 26, 2010.

Vietnam always regards the people of Russia , Ukraine and Belarus as traditional, faithful and reliable friends, and will do its utmost to maintain and uphold these sentiments, a senior Party official has said.

Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Truong Tan Sang made the remarks while receiving a delegation of war veterans from Russia , Ukraine and Belarus , who once participated in Vietnam ’s resistance war against US aggressors.

Sang applauded the delegation’s visit, saying it not only serves as a chance for the former Soviet Union’s veterans to pay a call at their former battlefields and meet with old comrades and friends, but also help nurture the time-honoured friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the Vietnamese people and their Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian counterparts.

He took this occasion to thank the former Soviet Union’s people, including those in Russia , Ukraine and Belarus , for their valuable support extended to Vietnam during its past struggle for national independence as well as its present process of national construction and defence.

Representatives of the veterans said they were delighted to visit Vietnam and witness its sweeping transformation and its achievements as a result of the renewal process.

They praised the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the nation’s revolutionary heroism and creativity during the fight for its national liberation.

Earlier, Sen. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Khac Nghien, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, received the veterans--guests of the Ministry of National Defence and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations.

Nghien, who is also Deputy Minister of National Defence, said during the resistance war against the US aggressors, the Vietnamese people received great assistance from international friends. The people and army of Vietnam will never forget the devotion of the Soviet war veterans, he stressed.

Arizona Communist Calls on Party Support to Fight Immigration Bill

Cross posted from KeyWiki Blog

Leading Tuscon Communist Party USA member, Carolyn Trowbridge has appealed for Party help in fighting Arizona's new "get tough on illegal immigration" Bill (SB 1070).

The Bill which mandates law enforcement officers to check a suspects immigration status when there is good cause to do so, has drawn anger from the US left, from President Barack Obama down.

Writing in the Peoples World of April 26, Trowbridge who triples as chair of the Communist Party's Women's Commission , vice president of the Arizona ACLU and as a leading immigration activist, expressed her anger at the new law.
We are tired of being the laughing stock of the U.S., we are tired of being threatened, we are more than tired, WE ARE REALLY PISSED OFF. And we want the rest of you to also be pissed off. One reason our legislature and governor think they can get away with this crap is that no one else in the country is paying attention or cares.
Trowbridge went on to compare l the Bill, which merely seeks to enforce already existing federal guidelines, with Apartheid and even "ethnic cleansing".
So we can use some loud voices in support of the national economic boycott of Arizona called by Raul Grijalva. Already the American Immigration Lawyers Association has dropped plans to hold their convention here. If you know of any other organizations who are planning events here, if you know people who are planning vacations (the Grand Canyon is fabulous but stay away until it is safe to come), moving a business, buying anything from us (especially citrus and other agricultural items), tell them to stop. We are fighting against our own apartheid, our own flirtation with ethnic cleansing.
Trowbridge echoed the calls of far left Arizona Congressman Raul Grijalva for economic sanctions against her own state.
Economic sanctions are appropriate. We listened when our brothers and sisters in South Africa called on the people of the world for economic sanctions because they knew that theirs was a greater goal; a little suffering and struggle would yield justice and freedom. We sustained an economic boycott here in Arizona when an earlier racist governor of the state of Arizona canceled our Martin Luther King Day; we won that struggle when the folks organizing the Super Bowl said they would never hold an event here in Arizona until there was a reversal. And we can win again.
Lastly, Trowbridge appealed to comrades across the nation to support the Arizona Party in its campaign against (SB 1070).
We need to know you have our back. We have more crazies that we deserve in Arizona at the moment. We need your support and we need an organized call from every state for real, honest, humane, and just Immigration Reform
Its going to be a long hot Arizona summer.

Russia, China and Radical Islam Versus What's Left of the West

Most in the West have no idea that radical Islam is a tool of Russia and China.

"Jimmy" beautifully sums up the worldview behind this website.

Islamic terrorism is essentially controlled by Russia and China, who are still working together to destroy the US.

Nat's DRIP Shame - NZ Beware

Excerpts from an excellent column from Muriel Newman of the New Zealand Center for Political Research

There are turning points in public affairs when parliamentary parties cross an invisible line...

Prime Minister John Key might have just crossed such a line by affirming the United Nations Declaration on the Right of Indigenous Peoples without any public debate and without public mandate. The move has been described as a sell out to the Maori Party – and the circumstances certainly seem to indicate that it was.

The secret deal was agreed by Cabinet over a month ago on March 22nd, but in spite of a “no surprises” agreement with ACT, the Party was kept in the dark. Not so Maori TV – it was notified on April 9th in time to get a film crew to New York – nor the twenty or so people who stood alongside Pita Sharples at the UN. Outside the loop and with no opportunity to have a say on the matter was the New Zealand public – those who will be forced to bear the cost of this recklessness.

The declaration, which had its genesis in a working group on indigenous issues set up by the United Nation’s Economic and Social Council in 1982, was adopted by the UN’s General Assembly in 2007 with 143 countries voting in favour, four against, and 11 countries abstaining. 34 countries were absent from the vote. Voting against the declaration were Australia, Canada, the United States and New Zealand. At the time, the Labour Government explained that on the basis of Crown Law advice, “We are unable to support a text that includes provisions that are so fundamentally incompatible with our democratic processes, our legislation and our constitutional arrangements. These provisions are all discriminatory in the New Zealand context.”

Upon hearing that National was considering signing the declaration, law lecturer and Treaty expert David Round offered this advice, “It would surely be a safe rule of thumb that where the hand-wringers of the Labour Party decline to go, no more thoughtful and reasonable party should venture. If even fools decline to rush in, surely angels should fear to tread. That we might even be thinking of signing should fill us with alarm. And the very fact that the issue is so close to Mr Sharples’ heart may suggest that he and the Maori Party see the Declaration as not just meaningless lip-service, as it is sometimes represented, but as a tool for possible future use.”

His prediction has come to pass. This week former Waitangi Tribunal Chairman and High Court Judge Sir Edward Durie wrote, “I would rank the day that New Zealand gave support to the declaration as the most significant day, in advancing Maori rights, since 6th February 1840.” In a letter of congratulations to the Maori Party he explained that “Important statements of principle established through international negotiations and acclamation filter into law over time, through both governments and the courts, which look constantly for universal statements of principle in developing policy or deciding cases”.

Maori Party MP Hone Harawira agreed: “it is an important step in our process of heading towards self-determination. I can absolutely guarantee that those Tuhoe who are seeking sovereignty and those other iwi who will be lining up behind them will use the principles of the declaration to support their claims.” Already a Northland Maori group has filed a claim to the United Nations under article 32 of the declaration for the 2,490 acres of land that comprises the Treaty grounds in the Bay of Islands. This is just a start - radicals like Hone Harawira will make sure of that. He has been quite open about the fact that the declaration will become a key tool in advancing the Maori sovereignty agenda.

For a start, Hone Harawira has promised to send every Maori household in the country a copy of the Declaration. No doubt he will be highlighting Articles 3 and 4, “Indigenous peoples have the right to self-determination” and “Indigenous peoples, in exercising their right to self-determination, have the right to autonomy or self-government in matters relating to their internal and local affairs, as well as ways and means for financing their autonomous functions”. And Articles 26 and 28 about claims for land (public and private) and compensation covering the entire country: “Indigenous peoples have the right to the lands, territories and resources which they have traditionally owned, occupied or otherwise used or acquired” and “the right to redress, by means that can include restitution or, when this is not possible, just, fair and equitable compensation, for the lands, territories and resources which they have traditionally owned or otherwise occupied or used, and which have been confiscated, taken, occupied, used or damaged without their free, prior and informed consent”? Then there's Articles 19 and 32 about the rights of indigenous people to veto the actions of the government when it comes to matters affecting them or the country’s natural resources ... and so it goes on. Within the New Zealand context these Articles are explosive and will serve Hone Harawira’s purpose of not only turning Maori against non-Maori, but they will also give activist judges sufficient justification to create new laws based on racial privilege.

These realities fly in the face of the Prime Minister’s claim that the Declaration is a non-binding expression of aspiration that will have no impact on New Zealand laws or constitutional arrangements. His stance is naive. Does he not realise that the Treaty of Waitangi too had no standing in New Zealand’s law, yet through the sustained advocacy of Maori rights activists who hold the ‘aspiration’ of Maori self-rule, the Treaty is now delivering not only justice to those wronged by the Crown, but superior rights and privileges. And if further evidence is needed, the Prime Minister should take a closer look at the whole foreshore and seabed fiasco.

Following the Court of Appeal’s bombshell decision in 2003 that allowed Maori to go to the Maori Land Court with customary claims over the foreshore and seabed, the word was spread by Maori sovereignty activists that the Court had ruled that Maori, not the Crown, essentially had ownership rights. Within a month of that Court of Appeal decision, claims had been lodged for more than 5 million hectares of the foreshore and seabed. That led the Labour Government in 2004 to pass the Foreshore and Seabed Act which vested ownership in the Crown, re-asserting the situation that had existed since British common law was first adopted in New Zealand.

Now, unbelievably, the National Government is colluding with the Maori Party (no doubt as part of a strategy to secure long-term tenure as the country’s leading governing party) to claim that there is such massive public discontent with the present Foreshore and Seabed Act, that the law as it stands needs to be changed. This is a blatant lie. By far the vast majority of New Zealanders are quite comfortable with the current law.

The reality is that the Government is now attempting to railroad New Zealanders into allowing an effective Maori takeover of the foreshore and seabed. Under their proposal Maori will be given development rights and mining rights to the foreshore and seabed, the right to demand levies and royalties from coastal operators, and the right of veto over any other development - with no rights of appeal.

The present call by Maori for a moratorium over the planned tidal power generation project in the Kaipara Harbour is a case in point - no doubt the project would be able to eventually go ahead, but only once Maori have received their “cultural compensation”. National is laying out a future of legalised race base graft, and the wider public is blissfully unaware of the dangers...

"Either Capitalism Dies, or Mother Earth Dies"

Cross posted from KeyWiki Blog

The "Climate Change" scam is dead in the West, so the left must use the mass power of the Third World and the United Nations to force through their socialist agenda.

The friendly socialists at Democracy Now! have obligingly filmed the World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth, currently underway in Bolivia.

This video proves beyond all doubt that the "Climate change" agenda is an anti capitalist agenda.

Main speaker, Bolivia's Marxist President Evo Morales Ayma, condemns the capitalist system in the opening session: "We have two paths. Either capitalism dies, or Mother Earth dies... We are here, brothers and sisters, for the rights of Mother Earth.

It goes downhill from there.

Rodney Hide Canes MMP

ACT leader Rodney Hide may not have dumped the Nats yet, but he's come out strongly against MMP and for a return to First Past the Post.

Rodney correctly identifies that the MMP form of proportional representation hands too much power to political parties and reduces the power of voters.

Even though the end of MMP would certainly mean the end of the ACT Party, Rodney puts principle over his immediate self interest.

Senator Lindsay Graham Called Out - Bigtime

The video below is going "viral" in the US and raises some very important issues.

A lot of libertarians believe that one's private life is one's own business.

I agree, but add a rider.

If you hold public office at any level, your constituents have a right to know anything about you, private or public that in any way might affect your political decision making.

South Carolina Republican Lindsay Graham, is a champion of both anti "climate change" legislation and amnesty for illegal immigrants. This puts him at odds with most of his party and much of the Tea Party movement.

Why is Graham doing this? Does he believe in these causes, or is it possible he is being pressured?

Writes Jim Simpson in the;

At a Saturday, April 17th Tea Party rally in Greenville, SC, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) President William Gheen demanded that Graham publicly admit what “many people in South Carolina and Washington, DC know.” As Gheen explained:

I personally do not care about Graham's private life, but in this situation his desire to keep this a secret may explain why he is doing a lot of political dirty work for others who have the power to reveal his secrets. Senator Graham needs to come out of the closet inside that log cabin so the public can rest assured he is not being manipulated with his secret.

If that is Graham's motive, it would certainly explain a lot. It would also provide justification for demanding his removal. Gheen is right that Graham’s private life is no one’s business, but if Graham has bought silence about it by agreeing to back these odious, nation-wrecking initiatives, he has betrayed his country, his Party, and utterly destroyed his own credibility.

Has Gheen done the right thing in calling Graham out?

I say yes. What say you?

John Key - You Have Been Suckered

If John Key and the DRIPpy Nats think that signing the Declaration of Rights of Indigenous Peoples (DRIP) is only symbolic and will have no practical effect, I hope they were watching TV3 News tonight.

Don't these fools realise that Maori Anarchists and Marxists have been working on this scam with the United Nations for nigh on 20 years?

On TV3 Red Hone Harawira called the signing "the most significant thing to happen to Maori since the signing of the Treaty"

According to TV3 "Maori are swiftly capitalising on DRIP...and David Rankin will use this to claim the Treaty Grounds themselves"...Eddie Durie is dismissing the claim that DRIP has no power and they'll find it creeping into law in years to come".

Said Harawira ...I have absolutely no doubt that Maori people will be using the Declaration and the articles of the Declaration in claims from the Cape to the Bluff and all parted in between...Rankins case is a foretaste of things to come."

Well John Key, you let the Maori Anarchists fly their Tino Rangatiratanga flag on Auckland harbor bridge. I'm only surprised you didn't let them sell it to you as well.

Racist "Tea Partiers"

Nothing unites people like liberty - or the threat of its loss, as this video well shows.

"Declaration Will Divide the Nation" - Time to Pull the Plug Rodney

The National Party has taken leave of its senses and decided to ratify the United Nations Declaration of the Rights Of Indigenous Peoples.

Even Red Helen Clark wouldn't sign up to this communistic piece of crap.

Here's what ACT leader Rodney Hide has to say about this disaster in the making.

From the ACT Party website.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

ACT Leader Rodney Hide said today he was appalled at the Government's decision to covertly sign up to the United Nations Declaration of the Rights Of Indigenous Peoples, a document which asserts for Maori rights and privileges not enjoyed by other New Zealanders.

"The ACT Party believes that the declaration is divisive and will set New Zealand on a path to a further divided nation - separating New Zealand into two, rather than bringing us together. It is the very opposite of ACT’s policy of one law for all New Zealanders," Mr Hide said.

"By signing this declaration the Government will enable foreigners in the UN to pontificate and criticise New Zealand’s race relations, policies, laws and processes.

"It was for this very reason that former Prime Minister Helen Clark refused to ratify it. Parekura Horomia has said that the declaration was incompatible with New Zealand laws and democratic processes, that it ignored reality and would be difficult to implement. Both Helen Clark and Parekura Horomia were right.

"The ACT Party is very disappointed that the Prime Minister has foisted this declaration on New Zealand. We are deeply disappointed that he has failed to honour the 'No Surprises' policy set out in the ACT-National Confidence and Supply Agreement.
"ACT, like the rest of the country, has been left completely in the dark by the Government’s actions. ACT condemns the ratification and the process that has been followed," Mr Hide said.

Here's my view Rodney. While National and ACT have done some good and are working towards more, now is the time to pull the plug.

National/Kohn Key has made three major policy blunders since taking office:

1/ Ignoring the results of the referendum to overturn the Anti-smacking legislation
2/ Going ahead with the Emissions Trading Scheme
3/ Signing up the Declaration of the Rights Of Indigenous Peoples.

John Key and the Nats apparently have no concept of the huge damage all these measures will do to this country, economically, culturally, socially.

Now is the time to dissolve the National/ACT/Maori Party coalition and go back into opposition - hard opposition.

If ACT doesn't do this, a socially conservative party will arise and push ACT to edge. It will be a party that will almost certainly not have ACT's economic and policy understanding.

ACT needs to fight these destructive measures full on, not be a de facto party to them.

It's a hard call Rodney, but you know its the right one.

SEIU Socialist Worked Inside G.O.P.

Cross posted from KeyWiki Blog

He's a Vietnam veteran, he looks like your Uncle Frank, he goes to Republican Party conferences - but he ain't no conservative.

In September 2008 George "Skip" Roberts was at the Republican Party conference in the Twin Cities.
"As he has entered elevators and receptions and talked to GOP delegates about where he works, the Vietnam veteran often finds himself getting a strange look from his fellow Republicans."

"You are a member of the SEIU? Are you here to protest?" his interlocutors ask, Roberts recounted in an interview with Convention Daily. "People don't quite know how to deal with us."

While SEIU is heavily Democratic and endorsed Barack Obama for president, about 25 percent of its 2 million members are registered Republicans

Skip Roberts was hired around 2005 ago by then SEIU President Andy Stern to help bolster the SEIU's voice among Republicans and "help the union find common ground with the party on economic security issues."

"It's important to leverage our support" on both sides of the aisle, says Roberts.

Roberts is in a great position to work with the G.O.P. As SEIU Assistant Director of Government Affairs, he has the ear of the union president and has served as an adviser to the great man himself.

While Roberts looks like a Republican, his politics would not sit well with most G.O.P. =ers. He is a former aide to the late far left Democratic Congressman from Hawaii, (and friend of Barack Obama, Sr. , Neil Abercrombie, but is no Democrat either.

Like many SEIUers , Skip Roberts is active with the Marxist based Democratic Socialists of America. From 2004 to 2008, Roberts has joined at least three DSA delegations to Socialist International conferences and has monitored elections in Mexico as a DSA observer.

Roberts doesn't even seem to respect the Republicans that much.

When asked by far left American Prospect , "What Else Should the Federal Government Nationalize?" , Roberts replied;
"The Republican National Committee. It's a natural under lemon socialism; we're only taking over those enterprises with a failed business model."

Possibly quite true, but not the kind of thing you'd expect to hear from a loyal Republican.

Will SEIU Socialism Survive Stern Stepdown?

Cross-posting from the KeyWiki blog where they're examining the implications of the announcement that SEIU boss Andy Stern is stepping down...

The shock stepdown by long time SEIU president Andy Stern has raised eyebrows across the US political spectrum.

While Stern has been the face of SEIU for years, it is unlikely that his resignation will affect the direction of America's most politically powerful labor union.

SEIU's positions on immigration reform, healthcare "reform", labor legislation, worker pensions and support for Obama and the Democratic Party usually reflect the policy's of the U.S.'s largest Marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) .

Stern himself trained at the DSA controlled Midwest Academy in Chicago.

Key senior positions in SEIU are held by leading DSA connected Marxists, all of whom are likely to stay on under any new leadership regime.

These include:
  • Eliseo Medina, SEIU Executive Vice President and the union's lead activist on immigration reform. Medina has been involved with DSA since the mid 1970s and has been a Democratic Socialists of America honorary chair since 1974.
  • Gerry Hudson , SEIU Executive Vice President since 2004. Head the union’s Long Term Care Division, representing nearly 500,000 nursing home and home care workers nationwide. Hudson has been a member of DSA, and its preceding organization, the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee since the 1970s.
  • local4
  • Bruce Raynor, SEIU Executive Vice President and since 2004, General President of UNITE HERE, an SEIU affiliated union representing 150,000 workers in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada. Raynor was active in the radical students for a Democratic Society at Cornell University in the late 1960s. In 2001 he served on a Boston DSA awards committee. In 1999 and 2004, Raynor presented awards at Chicago Democratic Socialists of America's annual dinner.
  • Tom Woodruff, SEIU Executive Vice President and Director of the Change to Win labor federation's Strategic Organizing Center. Woodruff was a very active Students for a Democratic Society member in the 1960s. In September 2002 Democratic Socialists of America organized an event in Washington DC entitled “Confronting America’s Low-Wage Economy.” Featured speakers included DSA vice chair Frances Fox Piven, DSA member Lawrence Mishel, Executive Director of the Economic Policy Institute and Tom Woodruff of SEIU.
  • "Skip" Roberts
  • George (Skip) Roberts, is SEIU Assistant Director of Government Affairs and adviser to the president. He is probably one of the union's most influential operators. Roberts has joined DSA delegations to Socialist International meetings in 2003 (Brazil) , 2004 (Spain) , and to greece 2006 (where he joined independent US delegate and now Obama "Global warming Czar" Carol Browner). Roberts also participated in the observer delegation from the Socialist International to the Mexican elections in early July 2006, which was led by DSA National Director Frank Llewellyn.
Further down the ladder, the pattern is the same:
  • Debbie Schneider, SEIU Director, Global Organizing Partnerships, is a veteran of the DSA Feminist Commission.
  • Howard Croft, SEIU Assistant Director Long Term Care Division, is a veteran of one of DSA's predecessors, the New American Movement and of DSA's "Racial Diversity Task Force".
  • Steve Askin, Director of the SEIU's Center for Public Accountability, is also veteran of the New American American and is a financial supporter of DSA's Democratic Left magazine. Askin's Deputy director, Raahi Reddy has been active in both DSA and the Communist Party USA splinter group, Committees of Correspondence.
SEIU is not Andy Stern.

SEIU is a covert policy "transmission belt" from Democratic Socialists of America to the White House and the Democratic Party.

SEIU socialism will roll on, regardless of who next takes the reigns at America's most destructive labor cartel.

"Climate Change" Scamsters to go Global

Cross posted from KeyWiki Blog

Now that "Climate Change" has been discredited in the "First World", its Marxist promoters are turning to the "oppressed" masses of the "Third World" to promote their cause.

The World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth is about to be convened in Cochabamba, Bolivia, April 19 to 22, 2010.

Bolivia's Marxist president Evo Morales, is to use this huge gathering of "indigenous" peoples, revolutionaries and anarchists to promote his idea for an international referendum on "Climate Change".

Morales wants at least 2 billion people to vote in his proposed referendum;
At the Copenhagen conference, President Evo Morales proposed that, given the lack of an accord among governments, the people should be consulted in a referendum of global scale. He put forth the following five questions for that referendum:

1) Do you agree with reestablishing harmony with nature while recognizing the rights of the Mother Earth? YES or NO

2) Do you agree with changing this model of over-consumption and waste that represents capitalist system? YES or NO

3) Do you agree that developing countries reduce and reabsorb their domestic greenhouse gas emissions for temperature not to rise more than 1 degree Celsius? YES or NO

4) Do you agree with transferring all that is spent in wars and for allocating a budget bigger than used for defense to climate change? YES or NO

5) Do you agree with a Climate Justice Tribunal to judge those who destroy Mother Earth? YES or NO

The working group will discuss the pertinence of this proposal, the questions it will ask, and the concrete aspects of organizing a referendum at the global level with the participation of different peoples and progressive governments.

Don't laugh. It is highly likely that the United Nations, or other international organizations will pick up this idea and run with it.

"Climate Change" is not dead yet. the movement has changed its target audience from the educated and industrialized West, to the impoverished and less literate peoples of the planet.

"Climate Change" will become less and less about pseudo science and more and more about "justice".

KeyWiki Making Mark

I'm pleased to announce we've had considerable interest in our new "sister" site KeyWiki.

We've got several new contributors on board and the site has been quoted or referred to by several websites.

Traffic is steady and growing, as word gets around.

Also very gratifying is the high Google ranking many of our profiles have already achieved.

Though they continually change, usual first page ranked profiles include;

*Barack Obama Committees Correspondence
*Barack Obama Democratic Socialists America
*Alice Palmer
*Jim Wallis
*Timuel Black

Even these two Democratic Congressmen do well;

*Danny K. Davis
*Bob Filner

Auckland University Marxist/Muslim Islamic studies lecturer Mohsen al Attar is also right up there.

Hundreds of other lesser known activists are also prominently listed, including Communist Party USA activist and Peoples World editor Terrie Albano, which maybe why she wanted to edit KeyWiki.

This is happening because you are reading the site and linking to the profiles.

Thanks for using KeyWiki

SEIU's Plan to Exploit "Immigration Reform" to Further Socialist Agenda

In Obama File 95, published in January, I exposed the SEIU's agenda behind the sweet-sounding "Immigration Reform". In June 2009, Executive Vice President of the mega-union, Eliseo Medina spoke of turning the millions of new citizens into progressive voters. A few days ago, on April 6, 2010, the KeyWiki Blog has the story on another of the SEIU's Executive Vice Presidents, Gerry Hudson. I have crossposted this below...

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is an highly influential organization.

While only 6,000 strong, DSA has considerable strength in the labor movement, non profits, education and inside the Democratic Party. While Marxist based, DSA's innocuous sounding name, allows the organization to operate in ways and places that their allies in the the Communist Party USA cannot.

After using its clout to push through "healthcare reform" DSA is now using its influence in the giant union SEIU, to promote "immigration reform".

On April 6, 2010 at the McShain Lounge in McCarthy Hall Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. the DSA controlled Dissent magazine sponsored a seminar "Labor, the Left, and Progressives in the Obama Era", summed up as follows:
After the success of health care reform, what’s next on labor’s agenda? How can the labor movement grow and engage with a progressive movement that speaks to the Obama era? What is the role of younger workers, workers of color, and women? Is there a new “New Deal” on the horizon?
Panellists included:
  • Barbara Ehrenreich, a writer/activist and formr DSA co-chair.
  • Christopher Hayes, Washington editor of the the DSA infiltrated Nation magazine and former writer for the DSA dominated In These Times.
  • Gerry Hudson, executive vice-president of the SEIU. A long time DSA member.
  • Michael Kazin, co-editor of Dissent magazine and co-author of a history of American communism with DSA member Maurice Isserman. Kazin traveled to Cuba in 1970 to cut cane for Castro, with the infamous Venceremos Brigade.
  • Harold Meyerson, columnist for the Washington Post. A DSA vice chair.
  • Liz Shuler, secretary-treasurer of the AFL-CIO
The seminar worked on ways to sell "immigration reform" to workers - a tough job, especially in a time of high unemployment.

SEIU leader and veteran of the Communist-led Black Radical Congress, Gerry Hudson, promoted the idea of manipulating anti-Latino immigrant black workers. This would be achieved by exploiting and stoking their fear of white "f**king rabidly racists". To Hudson it seems to be a legitimate tactic to promote anti white feeling among blacks, in order to get them to support immigrant Latinos.

Hudson cynically wants to ally black workers with Latinos against these white "f**king rabidly racist" workers.

But why, in a time of high unemployment, do DSA labor unionists want to legalize illegal immigrants and open US borders to still more low skilled labor competition? How is that in their members interest?

The answer is simple. The members' interests don't matter... (Continue Reading)

FBI Destroyed a File on Barack Obama's Grandfather

From Cliff Kincaid at America's Survival;

The FBI destroyed a file on Barack Obama's grandfather, the man who selected Communist Frank Marshall Davis to be the future president's mentor during his growing-up years in Hawaii.

"The FBI confirms that a file was maintained on Obama's grandfather, Stanley Armour Dunham," states Cliff Kincaid, the journalist who runs the public policy group, America's Survival, Inc. (ASI). "This is a troubling development in the effort to understand the Marxism that drives Obama's policies as president today."

In correspondence with Kincaid, available at, the FBI says the file was destroyed in 1997. The FBI made the admission after Kincaid complied with a request to verify the identity of Dunham and the fact that he was deceased.
Dubbed "Gramps" by Obama, Dunham has been depicted in news reports as a patriot who served in the U.S. Army in World War II. But he had a close relationship with Communist Party USA (CPUSA) member Frank Marshall Davis in Hawaii, who reportedly drank and smoke pot with Dunham.

Davis was not only a communist but a pornographer who wrote a semi-biographical novel about having sex with a 13-year-old girl. He mentored Obama for as many as nine years of his young life in Hawaii.

Dunham, who was white, had picked Davis as a mentor for Obama because he thought the youngster, whose father had abandoned the family, needed a black role model. Davis, who was black, fit the bill. "It was a terrible decision," Kincaid commented. "He turned over the young Obama to a communist sex pervert for moral guidance."

While the exact nature of the Dunham file will be a topic for speculation, Kincaid said that is likely that some of the information was related to Dunham's relationship with Davis. Kincaid's ASI had previously obtained the 600-page FBI file on Davis and posted it at It shows that Davis was a key high-level operative in a Soviet-sponsored network in Hawaii.

Obama had referred to Davis in his memoir as merely "Frank," a poet filled with knowledge and advice. The real identity as that of Frank Marshall Davis was disclosed by a writer for a CPUSA publication, who said it would prove to be historically significant, and then publicized by anti-communist New Zealand blogger Trevor Loudon. Kincaid confirmed the identity of "Frank" with a source in Hawaii and then obtained and posted the Davis FBI file.

However, most media, anxious to see Obama elected president, preferred to identify Davis as a "civil rights activist" and ignore his communist affiliations.

Jon Voight Backs Tea Party Against Obama Agenda

A great statement from actor Jon Voight.

The one upside to Obamaism is that patriots and constitutionalists like Mr Voight are making their voices heard.

It is very inspiring to friends of the US to hear Americans standing up for liberty, for free enterprise and the US Constitution.

For that and that only, President Obama, I thank you.

A "sockdolager" is a knock-down blow. This is a newspaper reporter’s story of his unforgettable encounter with the old "Bear Hunter" from Tennessee - Davy Crockett.

This is the story of Congressman Crockett's coming to understanding of what made America exceptional among all societies in human history - the US constitution.

Congressman Crockett votes against a Bill, on principle, that even most conservative US Congressmen would support today.

It illustrates the type of thinking that lay behind the writing of the US Constitution and the imperfect grasp of its principles common in even many of its bravest defenders.

It shows very plainly why freedom is struggling to survive in today's America.

From "The Life of Colonel David Crockett", by Edward S. Ellis (Philadelphia: Porter & Coates, 1884)

"CROCKETT was then the lion of Washington. I was a great admirer of his character, and, having several friends who were intimate with him, I found no difficulty in making his acquaintance. I was fascinated with him, and he seemed to take a fancy to me.

I was one day in the lobby of the House of Representatives when a bill was taken up appropriating money for the benefit of a widow of a distinguished naval officer. Several beautiful speeches had been made in its support—rather, as I thought, because it afforded the speakers a fine opportunity for display than from the necessity of convincing anybody, for it seemed to me that everybody favored it. The Speaker was just about to put the question when Crockett arose. Everybody expected, of course, that he was going to make one of his characteristic speeches in support of the bill. He commenced:"

"Mr. Speaker—I have as much respect for the memory of the deceased, and as much sympathy for the sufferings of the living, if suffering there be, as any man in this House, but we must not permit our respect for the dead or our sympathy for a part of the living to lead us into an act of injustice to the balance of the living. I will not go into an argument to prove that Congress has no power to appropriate this money as an act of charity. Every member upon this floor knows it.

We have the right, as individuals, to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity; but as members of Congress we have no right so to appropriate a dollar of the public money. Some eloquent appeals have been made to us upon the ground that it is a debt due the deceased. Mr. Speaker, the deceased lived long after the close of the war; he was in office to the day of his death, and I have never heard that the government was in arrears to him. This government can owe no debts but for services rendered, and at a stipulated price. If it is a debt, how much is it? Has it been audited, and the amount due ascertained? If it is a debt, this is not the place to present it for payment, or to have its merits examined. If it is a debt, we owe more than we can ever hope to pay, for we owe the widow of every soldier who fought in the War of 1812 precisely the same amount.

There is a woman in my neighborhood, the widow of as gallant a man as ever shouldered a musket. He fell in battle. She is as good in every respect as this lady, and is as poor. She is earning her daily bread by her daily labor; but if I were to introduce a bill to appropriate five or ten thousand dollars for her benefit, I should be laughed at, and my bill would not get five votes in this House. There are thousands of widows in the country just such as the one I have spoken of, but we never hear of any of these large debts to them. Sir, this is no debt.

The government did not owe it to the deceased when he was alive; it could not contract it after he died. I do not wish to be rude, but I must be plain. Every man in this House knows it is not a debt. We cannot, without the grossest corruption, appropriate this money as the payment of a debt. We have not the semblance of authority to appropriate it as a charity.

Mr. Speaker, I have said we have the right to give as much of our own money as we please. I am the poorest man on this floor. I cannot vote for this bill, but I will give one week’s pay to the object, and if every member of Congress will do the same, it will amount to more than the bill asks."
"He took his seat. Nobody replied. The bill was put upon its passage, and, instead of passing unanimously, as was generally supposed, and as, no doubt, it would, but for that speech, it received but few votes, and, of course, was lost.

Like many other young men, and old ones, too, for that matter, who had not thought upon the subject, I desired the passage of the bill, and felt outraged at its defeat. I determined that I would persuade my friend Crockett to move a reconsideration the next day.

Previous engagements preventing me from seeing Crockett that night, I went early to his room the next morning and found him engaged in addressing and franking letters, a large pile of which lay upon his table.

I broke in upon him rather abruptly, by asking him what devil had possessed him to make that speech and defeat that bill yesterday. Without turning his head or looking up from his work, he replied:

"You see that I am very busy now; take a seat and cool yourself. I will be through in a few minutes, and then I will tell you all about it."

He continued his employment for about ten minutes, and when he had finished he turned to me and said: "Now, sir, I will answer your question. But thereby hangs a tale, and one of considerable length, to which you will have to listen."

I listened, and this is the tale which I heard:"

If you want to know how Davy Crockett came to such a profound understanding of the US Constitution, go to this by page Bob Livingston at Personal Liberty Digest.

The second half of the story is even better than the first.

Like all great men, Crockett was humble enough to learn from men far less famous and honored than himself.

The American republic can only be saved if America's people and leaders re-discover the US Constitution as Davy Crockett did.

Foreign Marxists Back Thai Revolutionaries

Cross posted from KeyWiki Blog

Several Asia-Pacific Marxist organizations have come out in support of the violent "red shirt" protesters whose actions have rocked Thailand in recent days

In an April 10 statement, the Socialist Party of Malaysia , Working People's Association of Indonesia, People’s Democratic Party of Indonesia, Turn Left Thailand, Partido Lakas ng Masa of the Philippines, Socialist Alliance of Australia and Solidarity (Australia) claimed;
Thailand has entered a new phase of class war. The old ruling elite with the backing of the military are using all means to scrap democracy in Thailand. The pro-democracy Red Shirts comprised of the majority of the working class, peasantry and poor, have shown their real popularity and mobilising strength which has definitely shaken the royalists and the military. With the broadening of the masses’ support for the Red Shirts, it could be a new and important step in the struggle of the ordinary people in Thailand for the restoration of democracy and social justice.

The statement further called for:
the immediate resignation of the military-installed Ahbisit government and the holding of fresh democratic elections;

* a halt to all forms of violent crackdown against Red Shirt protesters. Respect the right of the people to organise, to protest and to strike;

* a halt to the suppression of democratic rights and clampdown on the media;

* the Thai government to not resort to any military coup.

The current crisis in Thailand only can be resolved through genuine democracy and people’s power. We extend our support and solidarity to all workers, peasants and poor in Thailand who are struggling against the anti-democratic government and for the restoration of real democracy.

More than thirty years after the defeat of the jungle based Communist Party of Thailand led insurgency, Bangkok faces Marxist revolution within its city boundaries.

What is KeyWiki?

For the last several months I've been working on a ground-breaking new project.

Together with a growing team we've created KeyWiki - a look at the covert side of politics.

At this stage KeyWiki is focusing primarily on the left in the United States.

We've started profiles on over 35,000 US people and organizations from the Democratic Socialists of America to the Center for American Progress, and from President Barack Obama to street level cadre communists.

We've got congressmen in there, "peace" activists, labor unionists, black radicals, "religious" socialists, "greenies", left wing academics , Obama appointees and thousands of card-carrying socialists and communists.

In short, all the people who are dragging America down.

Most of the profiles are "stubs", but an increasing number are comprehensive and a few run to several pages.

We hope our ever-expanding KeyWiki will prove a very helpful resource for those fighting to restore the great American republic.

To check us out, visit

Go to search at the top left of the page and type in the name of your favorite US leftist. Press GO. Capitalization and correct spelling are crucial. If you don't find the name you're looking for immediately, type in a surname or keyword and press SEARCH.

Follow the blue links to other komrades.

If you're a bit of a radical yourself, see if we have YOUR name on file. If for some bizarre reason we have not got a profile on you yet, please use the contact form to send us your details and a recent photograph.

Please pass the link to your friends or post it on your blog or website.

I'll be posting more on KeyWiki in the next few days.

Feedback, comments and criticisms welcome.

Obama File 101 Who's Been Fibbing Then? Evidence That Obama Was Deeply Involved in Socialist New Party "Sister Organization"

Obama file 100 here

Did Barack Obama, or someone close to him, deliberately mislead voters about the extent of the US president's involvement in the socialist Chicago New Party?

In the run up to the November 2008 elections, evidence surfaced that Barack Obama had joined and been endorsed by the Chicago New Party, during his successful 1995/96 Illinois State Senate run.

According to Obama's "Fight the Smears" website;
Right-wing hatchet man and conspiracy theorist, Stanley Kurtz is pushing a new crackpot smear against Barack falsely claiming he was a member of something called the New Party.
But the truth is Barack has been a member of only one political party, the Democratic Party. In all six primary campaigns of his career, Barack has has run as a Democrat. The New Party did support Barack once in 1996, but he was the only candidate on the ballot in his race and never solicited the endorsement.
Stanley Kurtz also queried Carol Harwell, Obama's campaign manager at the time: She said
“Barack did not solicit or seek the New Party endorsement for state senator in 1995.”
This despite evidence that Obama was heavily involved in the New Party in 1995 and according to New Party News of Spring 1996, page 1, was a bona fide New Party member (see below).

I now present evidence that Obama was involved as early as 1993, with a New Party "sister" organization - Progressive Chicago.

This organization was formed by members of the New Party as a support group for "progressive" candidates. It's main instigators included New Party members Madeline Talbott of Chicago ACORN and Dan Swinney, a Chicago labor unionist.

In an April 27, 1993 letter to prospective Progressive Chicago members, Dan Swinney wrote;
"I recently have become interested in the New Party as well as committed myself to see if we can build a Progressive Chicago network, working with Madeline Talbott of ACORN - the local New Party convener.
I wanted to introduce you to the NP and Progressive Chicago and would like to talk to you about it to see if there is a role you want to play."

A circa 1993 Progressive Chicago introductory pamphlet stated;
Progressive Chicago was started by members of the New Party who wanted to be able to put together an organization strong enough to win: If that means supporting a candidate running as a Democrat, then fine. If that means running our own candidates in aldermanic or state representative races on whatever line that gives them the best chance of winning, fine.
A Chicago New Party organizing report of June 2 1993 specifically named Progressive Chicago as a "sister organization";
At some point in the future we will have elections for a steering committee, but at this point we are concentrating on building up the internal build up our sister organization, Progressive Chicago. Once we have built up our membership for the two organizations, we will then elect a steering committee and move forward...

Progressive Chicago would be a support organization for progressive political activity...This organization is modeled on Progressive Milwaukee and Progressive Dane...

We hope that Progressive Chicago will be able to rebuild the shattered Harold Washington Coalition and be a leading force in supporting progressive coalitions and progressive change...

The New Party and Progressive Chicago were always financially intertwined. According to an undated Progressive Challenge call for members;

If you're already a member of the New Party, we have an agreement with them that $5 of the New Party dues will automatically go to Progressive Challenge.

According to the organization's literature, Progressive Chicago aimed to;
Unite progressive activists and organizations for progressive, grassroots electoral activity in local elections.
It is a renewal of the old Harold Washington coalition; activists and academics; women; unemployed and union; gay and straight; community organizations and churches; African American, Latino, Asian, native American and white; seniors and people with disabilities; low income and middle income; west and south side..
It was the election of the leftist Harold Washington in 1983 that inspired Barack Obama to move to Chicago two years later.

The Harold Washington coalition, was led by an alliance of Chicago communists, socialists and "community activists", just like both of its direct descendants, the New Party and Progressive Chicago.

Key Progressive Chicago leaders included;
People targeted or solicited to join Progressive Chicago included Obama political mentor and Communist Party affiliate Alice Palmer, Communist Party member Frank Lumpkin, Rev. Jim Reed of Christians for Socialism and Democratic Socialists of America associates Miguelle Del Valle, Carole Travis, Clem Balanoff, Sue Purrington and Jane Ramsey.

Barack Obama was probably approached to join Progressive Chicago as early April 7, 1993 as this unsigned handwritten note suggests.

According to the same note Obama was "more than happy to be involved";

By September 1993 Obama was one of 17 people listed as a signatory on all Progressive Chicago letters - as shown by the second page of this September 22 Progressive Chicago letter to Joe Gardner.

On December 31, 1993, Progressive Chicago wrote to all key members, including Obama, inviting them to a January 19, 1994 meeting.

Clearly Obama's involvement in Progressive Chicago was high level and lasted at least several months.

It appears beyond doubt that Barack Obama was involved, more than two years before his Illinois State Senate run, with a New Party founded, "sister organization" - Progressive Chicago.

It is clear that ACORN and SEIU played a big role in Progressive Chicago, as did Marxist activists from Democratic Socialists of America and Committees of Correspondence.

In 2008, the US media went into a frenzy when it was alleged that Sarah Palin's husband had been involved in the Alaska Independence Party.

The same media apparently believed the Obama camp's assurances that their candidate had never been meaningfully involved in the New Party - and even if he was, it wasn't really socialist anyway.

Here is hard evidence that Obama was involved in a New Party "sister organization", founded by New Party members and run by hard core socialists.

Perhaps some brave journalist might seek redemption and forgiveness from the American people by asking the President some tough questions?

It shouldn't be too hard. The evidence is all here.
