Barack Obama-Marxist Mole?
The Communist Party USA just about worships Barack Obama.
Long time party supporter Frank Chapman-one time chair of Angela Davis's National Alliance Against Racist and Political Oppression, reckons Obama is alright.
In fact more than alright.
Perhaps even a bit of a mole for the Marxist cause.
From a letter to the latest Peoples Weekly World
Now, beyond all the optimism I was capable of mustering, Mr. Obama won Iowa! He won in a political arena 95 percent white. It was a resounding defeat for the manipulations of the ultra-right and their right-liberal fellow travelers. Also it was a hard lesson for liberals who underestimated the political fury of the masses in these troubled times.
Obama’s victory was more than a progressive move; it was a dialectical leap ushering in a qualitatively new era of struggle. Marx once compared revolutionary struggle with the work of the mole, who sometimes burrows so far beneath the ground that he leaves no trace of his movement on the surface. This is the old revolutionary “mole,” not only showing his traces on the surface but also breaking through.
The old pattern of politics as usual has been broken. It may not have happened as we expected it to happen but what matters is that it happened. The message is clear: we can and must defeat the ultra-right, by uniting the broadest possible coalition that will represent an overwhelming majority of the people in a new political dynamic. We must quickly shed yesterday’s political perspective and get in step with the march of events.
Why do the Communists love Obama so?

It says a lot about what has happened to American politics that someone who opposed the Iraq war from the beginning, opposes reckless tax cuts (in a time of war no less), is pro-choice, and supports the middle classes, is able to be categorised as "far left", and even a "Marxist".
When did all these very reasonable stands become so scary? Is it FOX News? Is it right-wing blogs? What happened?
On the flip side it is also common for many leftists to describe anybody who isn't a socialist as "hard right", "neo-liberal" and "far-right".
His social positions are not that dissimilar from Giuliani and Clinton. They are all social liberals.
These "reasonable" stands are in the view of 98% exactly that - reasonable stands. Perhaps they don't reflect exactly the "reasonable" stand of the guy next door but they remain more or less within the "rational" spectrum.
It's "The Man on the Clapham Omnibus" stuff.
In contrast the Trevs and the other wahanui get themselves all worked up with their two percenter, hyperbolistic strangeness and see it sinisterly different. Poor guys.....
Don't worry about them - they're the social ostriches who DIDN'T get themselves roundly pissed at Christmas time. Too busy licking one another out with their self indulgent, self important carry-on.
They'll never change. And they'll never change anything, Thank Christ ! They're fringe dwelling two-percenters.
Enough said !
Except this - what a change in the Chickenhawk ??? He's suddenly realised that if you're a "real" president you're meant to leave a "legacy". Wow ! - Palestinian and Iraqi children his Starfighters and cluster bombs have murdered in huge numbers are suddenly so precious !
Vain, useless bitch of a no-balls Chickenhawk non-man !
IDF: 10 Palestinians: 1
Christ you spout a lot of self important shit 'steve'.
No doubt you think yourself to be very clever.
EXOCET
No Exo, just rational, and much, much more "mainstream" than you whimpering, malcontented two percenters.
Well, to be fair, I guess I am a little bit malcontented about IDF:10 Palestinians: 1, but seems to me any decent person would be.
Even Poodle (War Criminal Just Like His Master) Blair has been heard to venture - just ever so slightly.....lisping like in that piss English public schoolboy way of his.....while Wife Chjerie makes the big bucks out of charities all over the world..... that the zionists do exhibit considerable.....hmmm.....Nazi excess.
And to confess fully.....I still haven't got over the unpalatable fact that a nation as great as the US should ever, ever, ever have "elected" (and ""elected" is questionable anyway - it's a "shard" thing to swallow) a toerag, thicko, "good ole boy" like the non-man Chickenhawk.....Mission Accomplished Indeed !
Thank Christ for the Constitution with its two terms only caveat !
But then you girls love that non-man, don't you ? Oh My Oh My Oh My !
Obama is the non-man. It's amazing that he continues to show his lack of personal knowledge and chose BIDEN as his running mate. Does he really think that he can attract more centrist voters once ALL his far left positions are revealed?
And within an hour of his decision the McCain camp had an ad out of Biden (in his own words) condemning the glow-bama's experience and recommending McCain... fricken priceless.
