China and Iran to Boost Ties

Iran's Ambassador to China Javad Mansouri said here Monday that there is no fundamental obstacle in the way of expansion of ties between the two countries.
Mansouri was speaking to the `Phoenix' TV channel on the sidelines of a special ceremony held at Iran's embassy in China to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.
"Bilateral relations between Iran and China had an eyecatching increase after victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. The two sides still enjoy great potentials for further expansion of mutual cooperation," he said.
He assessed Iran and China as 'two influential and important' countries and said if they make use of their great potentials, mutual relations would receive further boost during the next years.
