What's the World's Biggest Youth Group?
Is it Boy Scouts? Girl Guides? ACT on Campus?
According to the website of the Communist Party of China
China's Communist Youth League has 73.496 million members
The number of members of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) reached 73.496 million at the end of 2006, the CYLC Central Committee announced on Friday.
Students accounted for 49.9 percent of the members of the CYLC, According to the CYLC Central Committee.
Earlier this year, a report published by the China Youth and Children Research Center showed that more than 800,000 young people joined the CYLC each year from 2000 to 2005.
The report said the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the CYLC were two most attractive political groups for young Chinese.
Founded in 1922, the CYLC is a mass youth organization under the leadership of the CPC and is considered to be the CPC's assistant and backup.
Chinese President Hu Jintao, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, headed the CYLC Central Committee from 1984 to 1985.

Isn't it quite interesting to see how similar Communists and Nazis were whenever they have youth-wings of their movement?
Oh darn and I thought Radical Youth was massive.
Anyways welcome back Trev. I had missed your blog the last couple of weeks.
What do you think of this Dunedin Subway carry on? Will you sign the bloggers petition on it? http://aucklanderatlarge.blogspot.com/2007/05/bloggers-boycott-of-subway-restaurants.html
Bloggers from across the political spectrum have signed it.
Thanks Cameron-its good to be back.
The problem I have with the Subway issue is this.
If they really sacked her for what we see at face value its an outrage.
However there is the possibility that she was a ratbag employee who was dismissed on over the drink incident out of desperation because she couldn't be gotten rid of legitimately.
I've had enough experience of NZ's corrupt labour laws to take such stories with a very big grain of salt.
